Door Sill Plates - What's everyone doing?

just wondering what everyone is using for door sill plates. I've seen the Ford ones online, but haven't seen any pictures. Are any smaller companies making any?

I was wondering the same.
Those flat sill plates with Ford attractive and all just won’t do it for me.
I want plates that wrap down over the first rocker bend.
I don’t see where just a flat plate will protect anything other than look good.

I used vinyl. My Wrangler door sills were to chewed up cause I wear boots, I decided to have vinyl done for the Bronco.

I actually had a custom topographical hood graphic made, and asked them to use that for the door sills as well and this is what they did! (Hood graphic and Door sill in photos).

Yeah, been on there 5 months now, 13,000 miles, and I’m in and out all day long, banging the heels of my boots and I’m not seeing any spots to worry me!

I really like that! Looks awesome!!

I ordered Vinyl from Etsy, it was like $13 so if it doesn't last long, I am not out much. They have the Bronco script on them

I have no idea what I'm going to do for sill guards so I've been trying to keep track of several options.

I used 3” wide clear UHMW tape. Easily applied, tough as nails and virtually transparent. I bought a 15 ft roll for about $15 on Amazon (now $22, dayum inflation) and you can cut it to any length. Used some on the door sills, roll bar to protect when the soft top is lowered/raised and some under the magnets that hold my fire extinguisher to the roll bar - it’s super handy stuff!

I've been looking for someone that makes the door sill out of a thick 3M material with the Bronco horse cut out in the center. This would allow the body color to show through the cutout horse. And then put a clear/matte tape over the sill cover so you don't scratch up the sill. Not sure how it would look and of course it wouldn't work for black or AMB Broncos.

Hmmm... for some reason I was thinking of those Ford 'Trail Armor' rocker panel covers bent up over the sill, but they don't...

But this is what I am considering... does double duty protecting the sills and covering the pinch welds.

Hmmmm, interesting design concept @Deano Bronc - lemme see if I can create something like that. The initial base color doesn’t need to be that thick since a clear PPF will be applied over it. Stay tuned…

These Bronco custom made door sill guards are made from 3M Scotchcal which is the original Paint Protection film. I was going to use PPF as I have done with all my vehicles until I seen these.
