Dealership Order Transfer Question

My last glimmer of hope.

I'm a day one reservation holder who was promised MSRP before I was locked into my dealership when I placed my bronco order. Now that the dealership is seeing what broncos are going for, they are no longer willing to honor what they told me. "Things have changed" was what the sales manager told me when I showed him the text message last week from his salesman that told me his sales manager would honor MSRP.

Ford can not/will not swap my order to another dealership since the order has been placed.

@Gloff or any other salesman........Is it possible for dealerships to do an "order trade" like a vehicle trade?

Both dealers would have to agree to the dealertrade. I would reach out to Mike Levine and Ford Customer Service on this, did you have a signed order with pricing?

I did not have a signed order. Shame on me. I reached out to Ford and was told there is nothing they can do about it other than file an official complaint against the dealership.

What I have is a text message from my salesman that shows Brent(sales manager) will honor MSRP.

Man it is a sad thing when a dealership wont live up to their promises, verbal or written. Did they require you to put down a deposit?

So what do you suggest doing to lock in the promised MSRP? Is there a specific document to attain when you go in to place your order after the reservation?

Ouch. Isn't there some sort of penalty for Dealerships that have customers that don't take the vehicle they order? it can affect their future allocations. You could remind them of that. A bad Yelp review might make you feel better. and help the next poor sap.

The rate(hardly any)the broncos come in, it will be a long time in between completed sales on the broncos and won’t have an affect in the dealership.

I placed a new order with another dealership Wednesday. I refuse pay ADM when the Bronco I have ordered(reserved 7/13/2020) gets built and comes in, on a vehicle I was promised MSRP.

There is a big disconnect if I understand this right. If a dealer says they're charge MSRP, and Ford says anyone who gets delayed to 2022 (all of us) will have that price locked in, that is the price you should pay. Tell them you are going to talk to the Better Business Bureau, the local news, your congressman, and the State DA. And do it, if they don't blink. Then see if they call you back a few days later.
