Are you planning to replace it on your Bronco? If so which company might you go with?

Sorry bout the yes. Making power is all about volumetric efficiency. The more air you can pack in a cylinder the more fuel you can burn, the more power a can make. Colder air is denser than hot air. Denser is more. More is power.

I built one for my jk out of 4” pvc sounds like a beast. Noticeably stronger. I take pics when I get home

@BDDavidn No, it's a terrible idea on a non-competitive 4x4.

Depending on what your plans are for it, I would be concerned about water finding its way into the intake. I know the current system has a water trap in it so its very unlikely of that happening.

Get a closed CAI if anything, maybe a snorkel, if you're going st2.

Also get a downpipe and intercooler/charge pipes

The intake is suppose to have a built in trap to capture dirt and water. Something to consider if you are actually going off road.

Plus doesn't the intake already pull from a cold source?

I'm quite convinced that the reason that all CAI are sold with a tune is because the tune is the only thing that does something. Well, the CAI tells everyone you got a tune.

Traps are not for dirt ,that’s what the filter is for. As for water . I learned my lesson. Got stuck in a river with water up to my chest in the driver seat in a cj7. A $60000 vehicle will never be in water above its hubs. Bigger diameter allows more flow at a lower static press.

I guess it doesn't really matter to the discussion, but you shouldn't ford moving water that deep. Although the fording depth of the Bronco is 33.5", if that water is moving it will push your vehicle downstream.
