What I got from it is that if dealers move their vehicles quickly (i.e. they're already sold when they arrive so they don't have to put them in inventory) then they'll get more allocations. Not much the customer can do about any of that except take delivery of their ordered vehicle quickly when it comes in. Also he predicts to that prices on dealer stock will start coming down so units can be moved more quickly to help bump up allocations.
It also sounds like dealerships need to keep their name to sales matches high so there is a bit of an incentive to make sure you buy your ordered vehicle. Seems like now there are folks backing out of their orders, interest rates, found something else, or life changes in the last two years. I see this helping keep ADMs down but also requiring you to place a deposit if you want to order a unit. But I know there are some really slimy dealerships out there that will game the system they just need to find a loophole.
