I had a short conversation with someone who works at map.

These are the key points from the conversation.

So that would make roughly 18,600 Broncos per month? Hmm..... Unless he meant 560 per day.

Prolly that’s the number total.
I’ll bet they’ll do 500 Broncos per day because of the demand... @SlashRacer ??

These are production numbers for both vehicles. Remember they make the Broncos and the Rangers on the same line.

They can’t run a 5 to 1 ratio forever.

If Ford can get semiconductor chips for them? This chip shortage is the biggest potential delay. Hopefully the chip manufacturers will start cranking them out soon? But I guess it takes a while to make these dang chips?

I think the Broncos are a priority for Ford. They will get the chips before other vehicles.

I hope your right. But if Ford's "Bread and butter" vehicle, the F-150 pick up truck is not getting enough chips? (I've heard that thousands of completed F-150's without chips are sitting?) How will Bronco out prioritize the F-150? Will Bronco be more profitable? Will Bronco have a higher profit margin? I'm sure the chips will be divided amoungst Ford's highest selling, most profitable vehicles. Only time will tell.

How many shifts per day (or how many hours worked in a day)? How many days a week?

54 seconds a vehicle and 5 to 1 bronco/ranger is easy math if you know the answer to my two questions.

awesome info btw. Thanks.

My logic:

Broncos were promised to almost 200k people to order by the end of the year, so prioritizing the most popular/ demanded vehicle just makes more sense

Not to mention these vehicles are full MSRP. You’re getting some incentives with F150s. Assembly line and logistics aside, I’m definitely not an engineer but I am willing to bet that, dollar per dollar, the materials and effort it takes to build a F150 v a FSB is a fraction. FSBs were designed with simplicity and function in mind, anyone can tinker with their Bronco after watching a YouTube video. More materials and less DIYing is what the F150 is designed with.

So taking into account the full MSRP and likely less cost per unit ratio, Ford automatically has a lot of incentive to prioritize the Bronco

Right? The fact Ford is planning their own satellite dealership buildings exclusively under the Bronco brand, says it all IMO.

With all the BS going on with my order and dealership, I’m torn. On one hand I can just get a MY22 at a different dealership. On the other hand, I’m willing to bet that a MY21 is going to retain value compared to other vehicles because of its novelty alone. It might be like saying you own a 65 1/2 Mustang. Not nearly the same cool factor, but same concept.
