My first trip with the Bronco is definitely going to be to Big Bend, does anyone have any other recommendations?

Big Bend is definitely a good place. Check out the state park too. Matagorda bay park kinda flat but if you like the beach, also Hidden Falls you gotta pay but it is really nice.

Big Bend, for me is roughly 8 hours away. I do plan for me and the family to spend a week out there but not right away. Ive been to Davey Crockett NF, probably soon gonna hit up Sam Houston NF. There are several state parks around DFW, like Mineral Wells state park, Ray Roberts. I haven't been to Matagorda, like @Jakob1972 suggested, but I have heard it was nice. Also Padre Island National Seashore.
Build week of 7/26....still....no its 8/16 now

You can always go to Guadalupe River State Park, and stop by to say hi. We share 3500 feet of fence line with the State Natural area.
