I just loaded Android auto from a third party play store and seems to working fine, but will not enable on 2022 Bronco base and when look up compatible cars Bronco is not listed in Android Auto v12 by Google.

Several calls to Ford's vehicle techs. One did not know what GOAT was, since the MY KEY will disable two Goat modes, sport and sand. Dont want kids driving on sand?

Final one tech after reading on Google the app agreed that Android Auto will not function on a 2022 Base model, but 6G forum says the same on a base model!

Why doesnt FORD tell us on a base they are barring google maps import to our 8" screen. With wifi enabled we can get google maps without Android Auto but will be a distraction.

My solution used Vune by Garmin in dash female accessory marked with a 1/4 -20 screw hex head. Works much better than rubber suction cup!

Bronco team has to get its act together

You should not have to download another app for android auto to function if you have a current android device, it is built in. It should be plug and play, just like Apple CarPlay. Base models come with Sync 4 standard if I’m not mistaken, which means it has android auto. Check your android device and if it is Android 10 or higher, delete the app you downloaded and just plug your phone in.
