FORD TESTING 37” TIRES ON PERFORMANCE BRONCO

Ford announced on Friday that they are testing 37-inch tires on the performance derivative of Bronco. Early testing shots obtained exclusively by Bronco Nation show the 4-door 2021 Ford Bronco riding on what appear to be BFGoodrich KO2 All-Terrain tires. Additionally, a wider track and wider fender flares seem to be on this vehicle to keep center of gravity low despite the increased ride height. https://twitter.com/Ford/status/1309525603658465281?s=20

While Ford hasn’t confirmed timing, we can do some math based on the base model Bronco’s testing regime. We first saw heavily camouflaged base model Broncos back in January of this year, going on sale in Spring of 2021, giving a roughly 13-18 month testing window. Applying the same 16 month timeline to these recently shown performance derivatives would give us a rough on sale date sometime in early to middle of 2022.

While the Mercedes-Benz G550 4x4 Squared and Hummer H1 had greater than 35” diameter tires, we can’t think of many other production vehicles that will rival this large diameter Bronco tire. Bronco Nation is excited to see this coming to market on Bronco and can’t wait to get behind the wheel of one. What are your thoughts? Let us know in the forums!
