On Bronco's 55th birthday, Ford announced that Austin, TX will be the first location for Off-Roadeo, Ford's official off-roading and adventure playground for new 2-door and 4-door Ford Bronco owners, as well as Bronco Sport Badlands series owners. Opening summer of 2021, these exclusive experiences will be for owners of every experience level, from amateurs to expert off-roaders. Off-Roadeo's objective will be to help each Bronco owner learn the full capability of their Bronco and how to use it to get out and experience the wild.
“Getting into the wild is at the core of the Bronco brand, and our first Bronco Off-Roadeo location in Austin, Texas, will help fuel Bronco fans’ quests for outdoor adventure,” said Mark Grueber, Bronco brand marketing manager. “At each of our four Bronco Off-Roadeo locations, we want owners and enthusiasts – even those who are off-road novices – to have as much fun as off-road pros, and we want to provide them with knowledge and experience to make their future Bronco adventures even greater.”
Many people think of flatlands when they think of Texas, but the hill country surrounding Austin offers a diversity of terrain for a variety of off-roading environments, which presents a terrific opportunity for Bronco owners to connect with their Bronco and the outdoors. Bob Burns, the Chief of Trail Design for Off-Roadeo, confirmed to Bronco Nation that participants can expect to experience water crossings, rock crawling on “shelfy” cliffs, and hill climbs with thrilling side tilts.
Bronco Nation also obtained these exclusive photos of what the terrain in Texas will look like.
Lindsey Laporte, Ford experiences manager for Off-Roadeo, shared with Bronco Nation that the Off-Roadeo will be a day and a half adventure in the outdoors, and each drive experience can be tailored to a specific lifestyle, such as mountain biking, kayaking, or rock climbing. There will also be opportunities to connect with other Bronco owners during the experience at events like the Community Bonfire, where participants can share stories about the day’s adventures. There will be 4 total locations, and Austin is just the first, so there are still more locations to be announced.
This comes as particularly exciting news to those in Texas with a Bronco reservation, but this also gives future owners in other places something to look forward to as we learn what kinds of experiences to expect.
