Easy Moab Off-Roading in the New Bronco

Buckle in and watch one of my favorite Bronco Nation videos yet. Here at BN, we’re all about seeing people head out on the trails to enjoy their vehicles and the views. And while we love a challenging terrain, sometimes a calm ride is what you want –– whether you have plenty of experience off-roading or are just getting started. Enjoy Moab’s incredible beauty as Jordan talks our newer crowd through Shafer Trail and Chicken Corners and be inspired to cross these off your list soon.

Schafer Trail | Moab, Utah

Jordan starts at Shafer Trail, a 20-minute drive from Moab. He’s driving the BN Bronco (4-door Badlands, non-Sasquatch, 2.7L), but encourages owners of any series to try your hand. It’s a very approachable trail. While it’s steep and narrow at times, 4-wheel drive will get you through, no problem. You won’t need any special features or packages to take on this route.

Chicken Corners | Moab, Utah

Next, Jordan shows us Chicken Corners. It’s a slightly more challenging trail –– maybe more for your nerves than the vehicle –– but well worth it for the views and still fully accomplishable in a stock Bronco. At about 40 miles long, you could easily run this and Schafer Trail on the same day.

Bronco: The Adventure

Like Jordan, one of my favorite aspects of the Bronco is getting to wonderfully scenic places and having a great time doing it. And for those new to off-roading, your Bronco makes getting out there incredibly easy. As you get more confident behind the wheel out on the dirt and rocks, taper off the tech if you’d like, and rely on a perfected line of approach, a controlled departure off obstacles, and the other skills being added to your toolbox. So –– once you have your Bronco, fill up the tank, grab a friend, and go make the memories that will have you itching to get back out whenever you see footage like this.
