“Dear Bronco Owner” – Some Early Reservation Holders Receive Package from Ford

Recently, some Bronco early reservation holders got a surprise mailed to them while they wait to take delivery of their vehicles.

Chris Paukert and Jared Childress (@RogueSqdn) both reported receiving a nicely executed limited-edition poster of sketches and a note from the Bronco team.

The logo-adorned letter reads:

Dear Bronco Owner,

Fact is, the further off road you get, the less talk you’re likely to hear.

In that spirit, we’ll keep this short and sweet.

Thank you, for knowing that despite the wait, there are trails ahead for all of us.

Thank you, for being a member of the Bronco family.

And thank you, for your loyalty to Bronco and the wild that awaits.

Included here is a Limited-Edition poster that offers a glimpse into the work that guided the design team, from early concepts to final design sketches.

There’s an untamed beast on its way, and we’re looking forward to making the introductions.

The Entire Bronco Team

Both men have had their VIN assigned and a build week scheduled. For those of you wondering where they fell in reservations, Jared reports his 4-door Lighting Blue First Edition reservation down to the minute: July 13 at 10:02 EDT.

These aren’t the first gifts Ford has sent to customers unprompted. Earlier this month, Bronco Nation member Patrick Bain (@Bain569) received an appreciation present welcoming him to the family: a set of three model Broncos.

Forum members roundly congratulated him on his good fortune, and not so subtly expressed their own desire for a similar token, displaying again how much people love this brand family and are taking pride in being a part of this sixth generation of Broncos.

It’s no secret that the launch has been difficult. Customers are eager to take possession of their orders and communication about them. However, these small gestures from the Bronco Team at Ford go a long way with recipients –– and leave them with a cool piece of memorabilia we’ll see in collections for years to come.

Check out the welcome gift details in the forums and add what you think about the poster.

  1. I ordered my gorgeous and wonderful Bronco Sport Badlands in January and it was delivered near beginning of April to Phil Long Ford of Chapel Hills Colorado Springs. I want to attend Texas Off Roadeo in September and hopefully there will be one. Please let me know which dates in September there may be. I did register on the Bronco Off Rodeo website.

    1. Hi Nancy, that’s awesome! I’m unable to see the available dates for Texas Off-Roadeo in September, but booking IS happening now. Log in to your profile on BroncoOffroadeo.com, and you will be able to secure a day based on availability. If you have any trouble doing so, you can contact the Off-Roadeo team at (888) 260-5744, or email them at info@broncooffroadeo.com.

  2. Hmmmm. Well I ordered my outer banks in February and have not rec’d a gift or a vin #! I did get an email from Bronco but still hoping I don’t have to wait much longer….ugh

    1. Jenny, I reserved my OB Lux 2.7 MIC Top on July 14, 2020 and order date 1/21/21, I received the poster Saturday, I do not yet have a VIN or Build Date! 🙁

      1. I have all most the exact build OB 2.7 mic top and I received the poster yesterday as well but no vin#. I would like to get mine as soon as possible but mine will not be a daily driver and will spend most of its life being pulled behind the Motorhome and me sitting next to the campfire talking about it with other happy campers.

  3. Received my packet yesterday. Pretty cool!! Like many others, I am waiting (sometimes patiently) on any good news. My 4D WildTrack Sasquatch with a MIC has been bumped to a 23 model year…

  4. Hi I too received this several days before this article was posted see the thread. I was a second day reservation and January 20 ordered date but still no word on my production date .

  5. I got the packet. I wasn’t expecting it so I thought it was a delivery date. Of course it wasn’t, do the packet was another let down. I think it backfired on Ford because it left me more frustrated. And to hear some got the packet and a date makes me feel even more frustrated.

  6. Received my poster today with the mentioned letter. Very exciting and just means my truck will be more legit. I do think it was a good smart gesture from Ford. Received a VIN and build date in May but the date was bumped a couple weeks.
Honestly I’m more frustrated with my dealer for the lack of communication on this sale. If I’d walked in to buy a car off their lot they wouldn’t leave me alone but I can’t get them to return a phone call.

  7. The Bronco and the Bronco sport aren’t even close to being the same vehicle. I ordered my Bronco in July of 2020 haven’t hear Jack Sh!T about anything other than the MIC tops are not what they meant them to be. 2022??
    Might get a Z71?

  8. I received the packet but no date…. The packet was very cool and will hang the poster in the garage as a wait for my Bronco.
Suggestion, make a tee shirt out of the sticker that was included in the packet. I would purchase the shirt.

  9. I put up my deposit the night of the unveiling; over a year ago. I have yet to get a vin#. My dealer periodically calls me to give me the latest details on its delay. I’m shit canning the Bronco and ordering a 4Runner. I’ll wait 5 years before I get a Bronco.

  10. I received the packet, very nice. My dealer said I should receive my vin. and production date on Friday but no such luck. Maybe next Friday. I also have a reservation for a new F-150 Lightning, hope it is a smoother transition but I’ll try to be patient .

  11. Im still waiting for my 4door wild track have the resrvation since 11/2020 when will delivery is going to be?

  12. Good luck to all of the future (“Big”) Bronco owners. I’ve tried to order a custom one but became frustrated and didn’t have that much patience to wait for who knows how long so I am enjoying my “Baby Bronco” Sport instead for 4 months now and loving it! (4k+ miles already and haven’t really gone too far yet)…Not a true hardcore off-roader but I play on unpaved roads quite often and my Big Bend stays dirty and does the job. I’ve only seen one other Sport on the roads here in Vegas so far and I get stopped daily (on the road and in the parking lots) with compliments & spec questions about my new ride. Maybe when the dust settles, I’ll trade it in for a “real” Bronco in a few years. Until then, I am content with what I got.

  13. While I would LOVE a brand new Bronco, I will keep my old beat up 1972 Bronco I (3 on the tree – 4 on the floor). It needs TONS of body work. But it is so fun to teach our son to drive this old G.O.A.T.!

  14. I just don’t get any of this. I ordered my bronco sport Badlands on January 12, 2021 from Sam Leman FORD in Bloomington, Illinois. I am STILL WAITING! Dealer says it’s built and sitting in Mexico but I have gotten no updates from Ford. I am over six months waiting now. Just do t get it! Anyone have suggestions for me?

  15. I reserved my 4D bronco wildtrak second day of opening. Dealer placed order in March… no updates on vin/build/nothing. No letter in the mail or care packages. Just a lot of disappointment.

  16. We received our letter last week. We reserved a 4dr First Edition early on the first day. Ended up ordering a Wildtrak 4dr on March 1. Received our window sticker and VIN at the end of June. Our build date was July 1 and yesterday we received our dealer delivery date of August 10. Very excited!

  17. I ordered my Bronco July 16, 2020 and have no VIN nor date…received a note saying it might be a 2023 model but that I’ll be charged the 2022 price. I called and asked if it was because of the top I selects and was told that I selected the top that is available now. BTW my order is frozen so I can’t add leather seats. Why did I bother to make such an early reservation? I tried the first day reservations began but the website crashed and I waited to see if there were any First Edition models available. I’ll probably cancel. All the excitement has gone from this adventure…

  18. Got my package, but I pushed my truck to the limit and she gave me all she could. Had to sell for parts because it finally broke down. Down to 1 car and health issues are pushing us to get something soon to enjoy what we can while we can. I wish we knew when I would be betting the Bronco, but we don’t . Put a deposit on a Rubicon last week. It is what it is…

  19. Second day reservation, 1/23 order date and I have no VIN, No build date, No poster. So far I am not feeling all warm and fuzzy about getting my Bronco any time soon.

    1. Update: Received my lovely Bronco Poster in the mail yesterday. My wife and I were out and when I got home my son said there is something on your chair thinking this was notice that my Bronco was being built. He was more excited than me. Sadly, I had to let him down and tell hi it is just a crappy poster and a Dear John letter.

  20. I received the gift a few days ago. It was a nice surprise. I reserved a bronco just over a year ago on the first night they opened reservations and recently got my VIN# and build date email from Ford. My dealer thinks I should have it by early September.

  21. I got mine on Monday. It was a nice gesture. I have an order in but don’t yet have a build date or VIN #.

  22. Reservation 7/14/20, Order placed 1/19/21. No VIN # or build date. Just a poster. *sigh* People like to tease me now and say things like, “so, when’s your Bronco coming?” knowing I have no answer. It’s a good thing I’m so f#@king patient….

  23. Since is a limited edition poster, I wonder how many of these they made for a possible future value 🙂
Anything but a built date from Ford makes me sick and regretful of my decision of reserving a vehicle a year ago with no idea yet when it will happens!

  24. Received same, still no vin but I’ve waited 25 years, I can keep smiling knowing it’s on the way soon.

  25. I asked this question earlier this week but did not receive and answer. I have a Jeep Wrangler that I tow behind my motorhome. I ordered a new Bronco, but like many others I am waiting. The question is. Will the new Bronco be towable flat with 4 wheels down?
I am sure many people like my self would be interested in the answer.

  26. I’ve been bumped to MY2023 because I want a painted roof on my Badlands. It was nice to receive this poster/sticker/letter in the mail, though. Warm Fuzzies from FoMoCo.

  27. I ordered the outerbanks, lux package with the MIC top in October. Nothing has been sent to me or a scheduled time for the start of the build. Feeling discouraged.

  28. I ordered Mine in Jan, and still no word, But The dealer called with a cancelled order so I jumped on it till mine is built. Meanwhile, My 2017 F350 made me an extra $9000, for trade so I had to go with the bird in the hand. Poster arrived last week. i’ll save it for my Bad lands.

  29. Mine was destroyed in transit because your agency couldn’t be bothered to use a water-resistant envelope.

Yet the latest in a string of let-downs on this joke of a product launch.

  30. Reserved my BLands within 24 hrs of release. Converted it to an order January 25th. Charged order to soft top to expedite build July 20th. I received this packet but have yet to receive “THE” email. No idea on VIN or build date.

  31. got the packet that is all 2 door base ordered feb 8 2021 reserved july 27 2020 they have $1000 of mine
