I just read the release that Ford put out about the changes for the 2026 model year of the Bronco Sport. For starters discontinuing the eruption green for that weird metallic orange I think is a mistake. I’m sure some people will like it and I don’t mean any disrespect, but did they have to discontinue the green? That was by far the best looking color. I’m also very disappointed to see that they’re going to discontinue the universal garage door opener, the rain sensing wipers and some of the other standards that we’ve enjoyed on our Outer Banks. We’re usually the kind of family who a trade a car in every three years and hopefully by the time it comes around to trade in our sport Ford comes to it’s senses on a few things and brings back some of those features. I was already bummed up about not having the outside keypad combination lock and unlock my door like my 2020 Escape had. For the cost increase these vehicles sustain every year, you would think they would be more generous in putting in some of the nicer features. Ford needs to do better.

Eruption Green was a great color! Is that what you have now? I was surprised by the wipers, too.

Yes. We searched all over for that color and found it 100 miles from home.

Here is the Order Guide for 2026. Ford is putting a lot of the standard items inside optional packages now. As for the rain-sensing wipers I own two 2025 Badlands and neither have the option in the Sync 4 menu. From what I discovered the rain-sensing wipers are only available on Canadian exports.

One of ours was hauled in from 465 miles away.

Personally, I don’t care for rain-sensing wipers. I’ve had sensors go bad in the past. I have a 2012 Fusion and the sensor is bad which causes the wipers to change speed when it wants. Not a fan of that. I’m fine with adjusting them myself.

I don't want that option anyway; if you have to replace the windshield, it's much more expensive. I, for one, am glad no rain sensors on my 2025 BadlANDS

I have a 25 badlands as well mine has rain sensing wipers. I do have the sasquatch package. I don't know if that makes a difference.

As someone that ordered a 2026, I am not upset about Ford eliminating the auto sensing wipers or the universal garage door opener. The only thing they eliminate that i would have liked to have was the cordless cell phone charging. But if you think about it, I am sure all three of those items have chips that are imported that would have had extra tarrifs on them. The cost for my 2026 invoice increased approximately $250 over the same build as a 2025.

I have cordless cell phone charging and honestly mine doesn't work that great. The phone has to be on it just right and it's a pretty slow charge.

I agree regarding the cordless charging. It‘s just not something I wanted or ordered on any of my vehicles. And the reason they are dropping it is because there has been a lot of issues with overheating and not working as intended.
