Hi everyone,

I’m looking for a company in Dubai or the UAE that can do full high-end Ford Bronco builds, similar to what Hennessey does for engine upgrades, plus chassis/suspension/body upgrades on the level of APG (rock-crawling + Baja + street performance).

Do you know any shops with:
• Race-grade suspension systems + adjustable long-travel setups
• Reinforced axles + steering components
• Custom body & wide-body panels (fenders, bumpers, etc.)
• Full motor tuning/power packages

Appreciate your recommendations for quality shops with good reputation, not just quick bolt-on stuff.

Thanks!

Interesting request. Of course I gotta ask why would it have to be in Dubai? Business opportunity?
I'm headed to Dubai over Thanksgiving but never even thought about seeing many Broncos over there.

Thanks! It’s more of a personal passion project than a business opportunity. I’m based around Dubai for now, but yeah you’re absolutely right, there aren’t many American trucks here, especially Broncos. That’s exactly why I’d love to build one, something unique and properly done not just another lifted SUV.

Ahhh, I gotcha. I thought you were still in the states so that's why the request sounded strange. lol

Sounds like a Braptor would fit the bill. Can you import a Raptor to Dubai? or is this more of a want to build it yourself kind of thing. If there are not a lot of Broncos there then a Braptor would be just a factory built bronco with a warranty.

Yeah, there are companies here that can import a Bronco, but it’s quite expensive. It could easily add tens of thousands of dollars on top of the base price.
Honestly, I don’t doubt the quality of well-known builders like APG or Hennessey; they’ve got way more experience with American trucks than most shops in Dubai. But my preference is to work with someone I can meet in person and rely on for after-sales support and maintenance.
If that wasn’t important to me, importing a ready Braptor would definitely make more sense. It’s just that I’ve really become obsessed with the Bronco.

Obsessed with the Bronco… you have come to the right place. Please know that I am not trying to change your mind but if Broncos are not really popular in Dubai I am only assuming you may not know about the Bronco Raptor. It sounds like it would fit you bill, wide bodied, long travel, desert running, rock crawling beast that is a pleasure to drive on the street and a much more powerful motor than the regular Broncos. This is a ford factory build Bronco so you would have factory warranty, but if you don’t have a ford dealership that can work on it, then it doesn’t matter.
Here is a pic of my Everglades Bronco next to a Braptor.

This is what comes to my mind when I think of off-roading in the Persian Gulf:

Wow, your Bronco looks amazing! Both of them do, real beasts!
Yeah, I know the Braptor well, the more powerful engine, factory 37-inch tires, wide body, and all the goodies.

Broncos are actually available here in Dubai. You can find different trims, even Braptors, for sale in showrooms, and people do drive them around. Buying one isn’t really the issue.

The challenge is that tuning culture here isn’t very developed for American trucks. Most shops focus on Toyotas, and it’s rare to find people who really know how to properly tune or modify a Bronco.

My goal isn’t to keep it stock; I want to upgrade it, especially for Baja-style desert runs. What I have in mind is very similar to what APG in the U.S. has done with their builds.

Really appreciate your time and advice. I just hope I can find a shop around here with that kind of expertise. Otherwise, after a few months of searching, I’ll probably look into importing one from the U.S.

Thanks again to you and Deano Bronc for the helpful insights!

Haha yeah, G wagons and decked-out Toyotas are everywhere here.

Thanks.

What--you're going to import a shop from the US? (LOL).

Check in with this forum from time to time. You see some really interesting Persian Gulf builds, even non-Broncos, post them, especially out in the wild. And when you do get a Bronco and work on it, we'll want to see those, too. You get posters with a lot of tech savvy over at Bronco6G.com, too, if you're unfamiliar with that.

Haha not importing yet 😄 but who knows!
Yeah, I’ve seen some crazy Gulf builds and will definitely share mine when it happens.
Thanks for the tip about Bronco6G, I’ll check it out!
