I've been working on my build choices. I want the roof rack but cannot find any info about removal for running without the top. Does anybody have details on this yet?

I'm curious about this as well. I was thinking it would be the bronco bolts (torx), so minimal effort but you still need a tool.
I was also curious if you can take of the front two roof panels off, then put the rack back on.

The front two roof panels (over the driver and passenger front seats) can be removed with the roof rails/roof rack still in place, don't need to remove it for that. On the 4-door, the middle section (one panel over the rear seat) won't come out without removing the roof rails.

Could definitely get complicated. If you add the light bar that attaches to the roof rack - I can only imagine how difficult it could become to remove the all of the roof panels. Assuming you need to remove the roof rack to get the back seat panel off and the roof portion over the cargo area could also end up involving removing the roof rack and wiring for the light bar.

Yeah, I have the question about the removal of the roof rack too. I'm going to want to run topless, so I'm hoping the roof rack isn't too much of a chore to remove.
Also, I'll want to know how much height it adds to the 4 door. Don't want to build something that won't fit in my garage!

No they cannot!!!!! Sorry about the exlamation. I asked at SCE with the overland build there. They said since the front pannels are in T top configuration. They can be removed. However z the back passenger panels cannot without disconnecting thd roof rack as theres not enough clearance to fully release from ghe roof with the rack in place.

znd..you cannot remove the back and leave the rack in place at all. Its designed to be used in conjunction with the roof.

I'm pretty sure we're saying the same thing with different words. I was referring to the driver side and passenger side front sections of the roof as removable.

Oh...ok. lol. Yes they are as long S they release from the mountin thier on, they will slide out from under. Just not the rear seats or the back. Might make the 2 door more appealing...
