Hi there!
Just about to place an order on a ‘25 heritage Bronco.
I have been offered the following, what are the recommendations? I’m getting these at employee prices.
I did a forum search but there was a real mixed bag of answers.
Thank you for any help and insight!

Reach out to Grainger Ford - they sell official Ford ESP warranties at $50 cost and see how their prices compare…

  • Ford PremiumCARE is highest tier Extended Service Plan—Ford's extended warranty. It's the closest thing Ford has to a bumper-to-bumper warranty.
  • Ford Premium Maintenance Plan covers all of your typical maintenance items. Basically free oil changes, inspections, brake pads, spark plugs, etc. (Well... I guess technically not free, you're just pre-paying for it.)

Those first two items are 100% backed by Ford themselves, and they have a bunch of info about it online HERE that you can read through to decide if you want it.

The last item, Triton Protect VSC, is not a Ford product. You'd have to read the paperwork and/or talk to your dealer to see what it covers.

So this is something to consider with the Premium Maintenance Plan that I found out when I did some research.

I had priced out how much the plan would cost over how long I expected to keep the car and to include some of the higher cost items like spark plugs, shocks, brake pads, belts, etc. I forgot who I asked first but they said they'll inspect the items and change only if necessary. Ford said they will not do that. So if I went in at 100k miles for the spark plug service and they deemed them fine, they will not replace them. Same goes for belts, brake pads, shocks, etc. This possibly left me at the mercy of the dealership to do the service.

Now, I have read recently that some are going in for an oil change and they're suggesting a transmission fluid change also (it was about 30k miles I think)... since it's covered under their maintenance plan. It could be that dealership is really looking out for their customer or they get paid by the plan for the service and they're recommending services before they are actually needed.

For me, I didn't want to take that risk but maybe I should have.

thanks for that, so did you end up not choosing any of the options and just take it in as you saw fit?

I bought the PremiumCare but not the maintenance. I decided to take that risk. It would’ve worked out if they covered filters and fluids and shocks. But I didn’t want them saying my filters were fine after tapping the dust out.

I have had the premium care and maintenance care on 2 of my vehicles, and just bought the extended premium care for the bronco.

The premium care I never had a claim on that fell into their coverages. I had to argue on them to get them. It did however help with car rental/loaner, but wasnt worth the money.
The maintenance care is nice to go get it all done. Not sure it was worth the money. I traded the 1st truck in before I used it to the full amount (transferred to new owner). Still on the second one.
Just bought the warranty for the bronco after the 3 year expired and paid $1400 for another 2 years of premium care. I figure why double pay when you have coverage to begin with , and just buy it after that expires. If I had more confidence in the truck, I wouldnt have done it, but just see too many concerns about the broncos to forgo it.

The Premium Maintenance Plan sounds like 13, $115ea. oil changes over 10 years or 100,000 miles. And includes 5 cabin airfilter replacements and 3 engine filter replacements, and 3 brake flushes based on the Bronco maintenance schedule. No driveline fluids are included nor coolant since they are all scheduled after 100,000 miles. And are the spark plugs included? Do you have to drive into the dealership precisely at 100,000 miles to have them included?
