Insider Info on Black Appearance Pkg?

Good question.

We do know everything that comes in the Black Appearance Package except for the mysterious graphics package. I assume that is just a black Bronco logo (like what Wildtrak had) and maybe the smoked Ford oval. BUT, as far as I know... no photos have been released yet.

I saw a Bronco several times around Michigan with what I thought was going to be the Black Appearance Package... but it turned out to be the matte black package from Ford Custom Garage.

It is the smooth roof, and from my understanding, it doesn't switch the silver Bronco for black but I will double check!
We are working to get pics of that package plus the various other graphics packages and tire cover options.

hi all! new here. I'm curious about this topic as well – just put in an order for a 2025 2-door Oxford white Badlands with the black appearance package and the configurator still shows it coming with the carbonized gray-painted aluminum wheels despite that package saying it adds the 17” black high gloss aluminum wheels. configuring an Outer Banks does swap out the wheels, but not the Badlands. hoping the end config with the gray wheels is correct, but my dealer wasn't 100% sure.

On a non-Sasquatch Badlands the wheels are not swapped out, you still get the standard Badlands wheel. The wheel only changes on Big Bend & Outer Banks.

I still dont understand why the MIC hardtops could not have been MIC Black instead of greyish. I figured it was because of color-fasting fading and likely future warranty issues.

They were black before, while waiting in the warehouse to be sent to Ford for installation, they turned kinda grey. 😂

For the obsessives – randomly noticed today that the configurator has updated slightly and now shows a black hood decal when the black appearance is selected. Not mentioned in the details. Before/after shots as I saved the old ones out:

Yup you're right.

If you add the black appearance package to Outer Banks it'll lose those painted pieces, and you'll end up with the black MIC caps, fenders, and door handles like the other trims.

We haven't been able to get pictures yet, unfortunately. Ford used and still uses language like "Carbonized Gray Molded-in-Color (MIC)" for the top, even in 2025 (Scroll down on https://www.fordpro.com/en-us/fleet-vehicles/bronco/features/). So that makes me believe the black MIC is not the same.

I talked to Jason at King of the Hammers; it seems "black" is the regular MIC we've seen all these years and is likely a misprint. We are in the process of setting up pics with Ford for all the little details on various trims.
