Help with ordering

Looking at ordering a 2dr with manual. I'm pretty sure I don't want Hoss 2.0 (bilsteins) as they seem more tuned for rock crawling and I've heard they make the ride harsh.

what I want to know is, should I opt for the Hoss 3.0 (fox)?

i had a wrangler that I lifted myself and added Fox shocks. It improved the ride so much, providing smoother response over rough roads, adding additional travel for rock crawling, and just improving all driving conditions. That's why I'm thinking about the Hoss 3.0.

if it's not worth it, I'll just get the stock setup.

My favorite Off road park is Silver Lake, MI. I also love long drives to nowhere, national parks, driving across the country, and spirited driving. Just saying this because it isn't gonna be a mall crawler. I put miles and miles on my vehicles.

Thanks!

Nice combination!

Are you planning on jumping it? That may change what I say to you! I've taken my 2-door Badlands to Silver Lake, and the Bilsteins were fine in the sand, and they're fine shocks for rocks, like you mentioned. I'm not the best judge on harsh, however; all my vehicles prior to the Bronco have been Jeeps. What doesn't bother me with on-road bumps floors my non-off-roading family. I've also driven my Badlands from Michigan to California and back, and I think the on-road feel is great.

I've driven a 4-door Wildtrak in the desert. The Fox shocks did have that floatier feel, and I can see why people like them for going faster off-road. I would like to see what Fox shocks feel like on the shorter wheelbase. I find it hard to get as spirited in a 2-door with Bilsteins as I can in a 4-door with anything. Personally, I didn't notice a difference on-road between the Bilsteins and Fox.

Good luck on the choice!

I think the Hoss 3.0 also gives you a beefier rack and pinion and tie rods. Not sure what the MY26 give you I think you only have 2 options going 2-door manual (base and the Badlands) and if you are talking Badlands you can get the HOSS 3.0, not sure if it is an option on BaseSquatch.
The Bilsteins are a good option they are actually pretty good ride off and on road (in a 4-door at least) if you want to save a little now and upgrade later.
But if you are getting the upgraded steering components with the Hoss 3.0, I would go that route. with either option you can always add some nice coil overs later, there are lots of options.
