HD Modular vs. Capable Bumpers

Now with the capable bumper available, another decision to make. What will the price difference be between Capable and HD? I really like the HD for a factory bumper, but it's just good enough to make me delay an upgrade to what I really want. My now MY22 Badlands will now have the capable bumper standard, so with price protection, if I don't get the optional HD, it will be a sticker price reduction. Now, I absolutely do not like the look of the capable bumper, but it would give me a factory fog light switch with wiring to the bumper for AM upgrades without taking up one of my aux switches.
What I'm getting at, is it worth saving $ by getting the capable bumper so I can immediately yank it off and put the savings towards an AM solution? Thinking something like:

The price difference for the Black Diamond is $575 more for the Modular over the Capable.

I was thinking the exact same thing. I’ll get the fog switch so I don’t need to use an Aux switch then get an AM bumper that maybe has a winch in it. Not on it.

That's exactly what I did to keep the fog light switch and then get an AM

Looks like that Warn Elite Bumper will block the radar sensor for the Adaptive Cruise that comes with the Lux package. I just added the Lux to my Badlands order but want a winch in the near future. The Warn winch & Bumper looked like the best choice until I saw the pictures the seem to block the Adaptive cruise sensor. I want the Adaptive Cruise, only reason to add the Lux package. Other bumper - winch combinations block the front camera. Dont know what to think now.......

They agree it interferes, but they also have a control relocation box. The nice thing about WARN bumpers is that the Bronco was crash-tested with one, with and without a winch. Our link here is for w/ a tube, but it provides those details.

Control box relocation solves the problem of interference with the front camera. But picture seems to show the bumper will block the radar sensor for the adaptive cruise system. That sensor appears to be low, below the grill on the model with the capable bumper. Owners manual warns about blocking this sensor with dirt, ice, show or anything else.

You hit it on the head! Thinking same thing, or will it ok not to have the HD? Kind of pays for a winch to put on the capable?
Is the steel thickness the same just different finish?

Can't add a winch to the Capable. At least, not yet.

Most of us know that the front trail camera is located between the O and the N of Bronco grill. And we know the Warn winch kit blocks a fair amount of the view. What about the Adaptive Cruise Control sensor...where is that mounted? Is is the ACC sensor and front camera all the same? Or is the ACC radar sensor mounted on the bumper? Help, I'm confused!

Just exchanged email with Warn. They confirm the Elite Bumper will block the Radar Sensor for the Adaptive Cruise.
So, Do I want to see what the camera sees or do I want Adaptive Cruise?

Could always go with the mid package and not worry about either.

That's a terrible idea, when do we start?

Take a look at: https://www.addictivedesertdesigns.com/news/2021-ford-bronco-aftermarket-bumpers. these folks offer a relocation bracket for your adaptive Crouse Control sensor. Also, the front skid plate is vented to help air going to the intercooler. This might be your best option right now.

Same concern w/ my order. I opted to delete the HD bumper and get the stock fog lights, switch, wiring, etc with the capable bumper and pocket the $600 savings. Hopes are the aftermarket produces a bumper that will allow all the stock sensor and a winch mount that doesn't block the camera...

Don't know if you saw my post above, but it looks like https://www.addictivedesertdesigns.com/news/2021-ford-bronco-aftermarket-bumpers might be a workable option.
