Ford will not honor claims. I filed a claim for water stains on my seat when they get wet. Ford Surface Care denied my claim because I didn't report it within 3o days of the stain. I guess I shouldn't have tried to clean it myself. Ford is showing they are more and more of a RIP OFF company every year!!!!! I am beginning to see why my stock shares are tanking. Ford SUCKs these days.

Sorry about your experience, but it is a single event. I'd like to hear from people who accessed their ESPs after their basic warranty expired, pros and cons.

Really no surprise. “Dealer Pack” add on’s are hugely beneficial. But not to the customer who purchases them.
There’s always an exception out there. Just not the norm.
Best to avoid.

Yeah... it's in bold and underlined text on the first page of the warranty paperwork.

Water stains are part of an extended agreement? Why would you pay money to have water stains covered, I'm trying to understand. When the seat got wet you didn't take a towel and dry it off?

Weird. My service plan has been absolutely incredible. Covered more than I'd have imagined, even.

The first time my seats got soaked and the white residue appeared I clean it, the second time it happened I cleaned it and thought it must be washing out some kind of chemical in the fabric. It happened again and this time I opened a claim. So my attempts to clean my seats is what is making this BS claim rejection.

I explained the situation I was dealing with and they used it against me.

Ford has been refusing normal factory warranties that are pretty straight forward and well within the terms so I have no doubt they refuse the extended snake oil coverages.

Extended warranties are never a good value in my opinion and I never buy them. I am sure there are some who have benefitted from them but for the most part, they make is issuing company money.

For an off-road vehicle, they make even less sense to me unless you are going to leave the vehicle bone stock and never take it off road.

If they deny a claim, even valid claim, most people move on and don't fight the decision due to legal costs associated with fighting it, the red tape involved or whatever. A dealership can also flag your vehicle so that other dealers in the network can see they've denied the claim due to modification, abuse or whatever..

These extended warranties and companies are not in the bizz of loosing $$$$.

My stock says they are "in the bizz of loosing $$$$." I don't think it's manufacturing but "Office Dwellers, Phone Jockeys and Shady dealerships" causing decline.

I’m curious as to the events that caused the seats to get soaked? Top off rainstorm or water fording incident?

If you have ever spent any length of time in GA. You know you take a risk riding top-down.

If your next question is why not put the top up, then I know you have never spent time in GA. So I will explain... You could be riding along beautiful day hit a storm that is pouring, drive 5-10 mins back into beauty again. So why pull over and raise the top when I can drive through it in a few minutes. And it is like that almost all summer long... Welcome to the Atl!!!
