We wrapped up Bronco R testing in the desert last week, and we are excited to be bringing you insights on the action soon. After last year's Baja 1000 race campaign came up short, Ford engineers made adjustments to the vehicle based on lessons they learned. After modifications were completed, they took the Bronco R back to the desert and put it to the test. The Bronco R endured grueling runs in 100+ degree heat over 1,500 miles of desert terrain.
Bronco R might be a racing unit, but its purpose is much more than just racing. Although it may look a bit different from the new, 2021 Bronco, the Bronco R shares many similarities such as the frame, engine, transmission, and other key attributes. In other words, many of the parts featured on the Bronco R will be the same parts the new Bronco will be equipped with.
We were able to capture the Bronco R in action and have discussion with the drivers and engineers so that you can see and hear about the features that you can expect to experience in the new Bronco. We cannot wait to share this insight with you and hear what you think. Stay tuned for more in the coming days!
