Some Quick Thoughts on the TX Off Roadeo

My wife & I went to the Texas Off Roadeo in Sept. Here's a few quick thoughts.

The Horseshoe Bay Resort is nice, but if you are just going for the Off-Roadeo is probably isn't worth the price. There are several hotels in Marble Falls.

The price is a little high for bringing a passenger, but it's more fun to wheel with someone else.

You don't need to bring a bunch of water & snacks. You get a cool Yeti-Bronco bottle there and they have plenty of food and snacks.

You don't need the extra insurance.

It was still hot in September, Fall and Spring are the best times to go.

If you are driving in the DFW or San Antonio 281 is faster than 35.

First class experience, every Bronco driver should do it.

agree 100% about Horseshoe bay and area hotels. We made friends at the Bronco Off-Rodea 2 years ago and we still chat with them to this day.
I assume Bronco Off Rodeo still provides dinner, and if they do, and its the same as when we went, it was fantastic. Texas BBQ is legit.

I’ve been to the TX OffRoadeo twice. What the KingCakeKid said is 100% correct. I would like to add that the Blue Bonnet Cafe in Marble Falls should be one of your meals while you’re there. Lastly, buy your apparel in the camp base while you’re there so you won’t regret it later. Every time I wear my OffRoadeo garb, it brings back good memories.

My Wife & I just went on Sat. 9/8, what an amazing experience. Our guide Big Al was so knowlegable, all of the staff are so passionate about teaching you regardless of skill level. The food was top knotch, the facility is absolutley amazing.
Also use you can use your points in Base Camp ,so load up on Tee's you wont see anywhere else. Funny enough we actually had the owners son-inlaw in our group, and their pies are really legit.

For sure stay in Marble Falls definitely eat at Bluebonnet Cafe, great breakfast and their chicken fried steak is amazing for lunch/dinner. Oh and I think you can get pie there too. LOL. If you spend a few extra days you can explore the Hill Country, if we get enough rain over winter March/April is a great time if you want to see wild flowers. If you drive your bronco to BORT you gotta take the picture at the gate. And if you stay a day or so after BORT you can test your new skills at Hidden Falls which is just the other side of Marble Falls.
And I use the yeti every day.
