First off, I need to apologize to the gentle reader who might be seeking a quick and easy read. This in an in-depth review which may help you determine if the New Hampshire location in right for you. I will also attempt to describe a few actions you might consider in preparation for your visit in each of the parts of this story. If this is what you seek, read on.
As I talk us through various topics to be covered, I will mix in a few pictures I gathered along the way. It is important to note, my Off-Roadeo NH student group was their very first. Everyone was highly motivated to succeed. A group photo was taken and may be posted in another thread. We were a large group of perhaps 25+ students.
The site director, coaching staff, support staff and most importantly the students saw this as an opportunity to perform in an outstanding way. Our coaches took several opportunities to pause and highlight what we had achieved. It was the very first time a group of students had attempted to tackle newly created tails which would challenge our abilities. Although three days earlier a group of Ford dealers spent time understanding the location, they were not challenged to run the course we achieved.
Base Camp
Our base camp was located within the Gunstock Mountain Report. A separate build is dedicated to off-roadeo. It is very well equipped to handle classes in all kinds of weather with outdoor and indoor spaces, restrooms, dining room, merchandise for sale, etc.
A collection of approximately 29 Broncos were available. They varied in models, colors, and options. The tire pressure had been adjusted to approximately 25psi to facilitate our lessons.
I arrived early and happened to be the very first student to register for the class. It gave me time to gather a few photos as seen below. Although I would like to have gathered more, it was a fast moving 10+ hour days and I tended to focus more on the lessons.
Special Note: Our BN application has a limit of 10 pictures per thread. Due to that limit I will continue this topic in Part 2.
Our Off-Roadeo New Hampshire location is based at the Gunstock Mountain Resort in Gilford, NH. The resort is spread over several mountains and consist of thousands of acres giving plenty of space to create custom off-road trails.

In the very center of this photo is our Base Camp. It is separate from the main Gunstock lodge and the general public. This allowed for easy access to the trails while promoting a feeling of having the resort to ourselves.

Here we see a close-up picture of our Base Camp. The entire building, both inside and out, was renovated for Off-Roadeo. It included all the features we would need for all-weather classes.

On the grounds in front of our Base Camp, were the Bronco. We had our pick of what we wanted to drive during the day. We were required to keep the same vehicle for the entire day, so chose wisely!

I included this picture to highlight one important image. Under the sun, you will see a mountain in the distance. This mountain was all part of the Gunstock Resort. During our epic 4 hour trail ride in the afternoon, we would drive to the top of this mountain and back down utilizing all the off-road driving skills learned from the morning lessons. The experience was very achievable but not for the faint of heart.

Here we see the inside of our Base Camp which was completely renovated and furnished for our enjoyment. This picture captures the process during initial registration.

Once registration was completed, introductions were accomplished. Each student would state his/her name, place of residence and one interesting fact about them.

At the end of the day, our Base Camp became our buffet dinner location. Here we see support staff preparing the banquet which would precede an evening campfire with the makings for smores.

During dinner, enjoyable music entertainment was provided. No detail was overlooked. That seemed to be the hallmark of the Off-Roadeo management team.

If you followed this thread up to this point, thank you! There is much more to come as I walk you through the lessons, the technical aspects, helpful hints to prepare for your off-roadeo, and my take-aways. More to come in Part 2.
