I am planning on attending in March. I am planning on bringing my dog along and we will probably need to board him during the day so I am wondering what time we will be finished with the trail and able to be back to town. Anybody’s been on the MOAB off rodeo have any idea for me thank you.

When I attended Moab, it started at 8:00am and we got back around 4:30pm. After the trail ride, they serve dinner, weather permitting, there is also a campfire to end the day. Enjoy! Moab is amazing!! One other thing, if you are not staying at Red Cliffs, you will most likely have a 20-25 minute drive to the Off-Roadeo. That is driving from town to the site. It is walking distance if you are staying at red cliffs.

@ponygarage I know someone who lives in Castle Valley (about 5 minutes from Base Camp) who may be available to provide day boarding for your dog. If you're interested, PM me for his contact info.

Unfortunately the guy I know is no longer providing boarding.

For anyone looking for pet boarding options, here are a few key things to keep in mind:
  • Most of the places in town who provide day boarding expect a pickup by 5pm.
  • Groups usually arrive back from the trails at about 5pm (for 8am start time) or 6pm (for 9am start time), plus or minus 30 minutes.
  • Dinner is after that, usually running until 6pm or 7pm, followed by a campfire (weather permitting).
  • It's about a 25+ minute drive to town, a little further to some of the places on the South end of town or in Spanish Valley.
  • If you're boarding a pet you may need to consider arranging for a late pickup or overnight boarding.
  • The boarding facilities fill up quickly, so book it well in advance.
  • Instead of a regular boarding kennel, you might have luck using the Rover app to find an individual with a more flexible schedule or closer location (e.g. Castle Valley).

Here are links to the boarding options in Moab:

If anyone finds other facilities, let me know and I'll add them to this list.

We have found someone who will board our little puppy Thor. Thanks for the help. Btw. This is my 24 year old daughter with him
