As someone new to recreational off-roading, I didn’t fully know what to expect…plus the fact that I’d never been to Moab. As a new Bronco owner, I “thought” that I understood its functionality. Holy crap I was wrong, and am SO glad I had this experience!

The academic side: our guides Chuck and Tim were amazing and talked us through things, giving us the confidence to handle some wicked terrain features with confidence. Chuck not only put us through the paces in the vehicle, but took us to some really cool locations, constantly answering questions, adding insights based on experience, and being genuinely friendly with all of us. Who could say no to having a discussion about essential recovery techniques while sitting in the shade of a stone arch, or lunch in a cave?

The vehicle side: I already loved my Bronco…I won’t even get into the fanboy in me about that…but the things I learned about the vehicle and functions that I had NO idea about blew me away! My confidence level using my own machine is so much higher after Chuck broke it down for us.

Honestly, I can’t recommend this event site enough to anyone…it was a day VERY well spent, with important knowledge and experience gained every step of the way. Chuck made the most of the day for us, and when we got to hang out with Tim as well at lunch, he did the same. This wasn’t a couple guys just doing a job—they were really welcoming us into the off-road community and showing us their love of what they do. Thanks again guys!

As someone who has done some off-roading before, the amount of new information was well worth the price of admission. it is amazing when you go wheeling with a group of Broncos you can tell the folks that have not been to an off-roadeo event.

and always remember, shuffle steer, thumbs out, and breath. its about momentum not speed. 😁

Edit: and remember your parking brake procedure, and use it every time.

I was lucky enough to go right before I took delivery. I went to Gunstock Mountain NH in Oct 2021. It was an amazing experience! I learned so much about the vehicle I was about take delivery on that was invaluable. I have been on a few club trips since then, and it's amazing how confident I am when I come to any obstacles. Off Roadeo schooled me on what my machine can, and cannot do. That's not to say I haven't bent my running board on a boulder, but it taught me how not panic when I get my running board coaught on a boulder (Shout out to Steve) Thanks to the Off Roadeo. Highly recommended.
