Yes it is Loren Healy.... BUT a Bronco with a 7.3 liter V8, portals AND long arms???? Isn't this everyone's dream or am I alone in this?

Got to be the most effortless hell's gate climb I have ever seen....

This week has closed the gap on a lot of Bronco dreams, between the completed engine swap and the 2-door kind of Raptor.

Bronco never got got boring, but it's fun to have some different stuff shaking it up a little.

Love the write-up on the Moab-themed concept rigs, @Laura .
I guess where there is a will, there will be a way… I’m not sure how much of a market there would be for a $130,000 V-8 Bronco, but I could be wrong… For me, the V-6 is plenty of power for what I need, and IF I was a hard-core off-road hobbyist, I would spend my money on suspension and steering upgrades, but I would keep my V-6…

I hear ya! I'm happy with the V6 too; I may change my mind if I ever drive a V8 Bronco, but for now, it does all I do.
For others, I'm glad to see a swap successfully completed. It would be awesome if it didn't cost a ridiculous amount, that's for sure.

Right there with you my teeny tiny little 4 cylinder had as much power as my 1984 Bronco with a 351W. and on a good day I can get 26 mpgs. I’m happy with it, but it does sound like a sewing machine. Heck I even pull a 26 foot travel trailer with a gas 4 cylinder pick up. The biggest motor I have is the straight 6 in my 04 F250.

There's alot of dumb $ in this country. Problem is money and taste rarely intersect however people with money like to buy what everybody else wants so it would sell.

My opinion is now, nearly 3 years into ownership with the 2.3L EcoBoost, it is a fun motor when hooked to the manual transmission. Mine has returned a 21.9 lifetime average MPG over 11,000 miles. It has plenty of power for a 2-door Bronco weighing in at 4,500 pounds. If an automatic is the transmission of choice, then the 2.7L EcoBoost is the better choice; it doesn't penalize you with a drop in fuel consumption.

Agreed… I can get 21mpg with my 2.7 and 10 speed, running premium fuel… lots of power, and normally don’t even run in Sport mode, which is all kinds of fun when I do…
