So when I first start it up it usually runs great but after I drive it a while it will stall if I'm not giving it gas

If after I drive it for a while and shut it off I have to wait for a while before it will start up like usually 20 mins to an hour.

Or if it doesn't start at all I put starter
fluid in the carburetor or wait till it cools down and it runs really hard at first but then evens out and runs great until I shut it off then I have to wait again to start it back up.

Nothing is leaking and there aren't any bad sounds coming from it at all.

And now it will not start up or turn over nothing have not checked fuel pump or gotten a reading from the computer, the battery has full charge and the engine is brand new with only 600 miles now.

I’m thinking the issue is electrical but who knows. Private message or call me if you think you know what’s going on!

I would say it isn't an electrical issue, if it starts when you first go to use it for the day and nothing is sparking or frying up electrically. Sounds like three other possibilities, barring they are new plugs and wires. The first would be is there a vacuum leak? Second would be the card, has it be adjusted, idle screws etc.. or might need to be rebuilt if the old one or get a new one? Lastly, we had a boat when I was a lot younger and it would start fine and run great, but after coming back to dock and turning off it wouldn't start until it cooled, turned out the coil was partially shot/taking the beat. Once we replaced, would be able to go out for a while come back and while still hot start it up fine then. Might just need to replace the coil.

Are you saying that when this happens it will not even turn over or it turns over but wont start? Also what year is it?

How long after you start it does it begin to have problems? If my understanding is correct the computer starts the engine with some rough settings. Generic if you will. Once the engine reaches operating temperature the computer reads sensors and makes adjustments accordingly to fine tune efficiency. It could be possible there is a sensor issue. You should be getting a check engine light if this case. The EEC (Computer) can be downloaded for codes that will offer a clue of what to look at.

I had a 88 Ranger. Would be going down the road and it would just die. No fuel. After some troubleshooting found it to be the wiring to the inertia switch. (Emergency fuel shut off) The switch was located in the cab passenger side of the transmission tunnel. The wiring ran under the carpet on the passenger side. After years of getting stomped on the wires got damaged to the point it would intermittently get an open in the circuit shutting the fuel off. Feel like this usually only happened when I had a passenger.

Hope this helps and you figure out your problem.
