Roof rack crossbars adjustable?

Can the space between the front and rear crossbars be adjusted? The pics show them close together and I put longboards on my racks which requires the crossbars to be further apart.

Yes they can I had to do it to transport a ladder.

Remove the plugs from the front of the rails and move the cross bar up
I put the plugs in the screw holes where the cross bar was
