Has anyone popped off the plastic piece on the gate? I need to access the Ford oval and wasn't sure how easy it is to remove that piece. Thanks in advance for saving me from ruin.

I haven’t removed the piece on the right side, just the long narrow one on the top of the tailgate. I needed to do this in order to install my tailgate-mounted MOLLE Storage System. I used one of those plastic trim removal tools to gently separate the piece from the painted surface. Then all I did was get my fingertips under the piece and pull it towards me. It was held on with plastic tension clips which may have been built into the piece itself. I suspect the same is true for the more rectangular piece on the inside right side of the tailgate. Just take your time with it and good luck!
Chris here. I drive a 2-door Velocity Blue 2023 Ford Bronco Badlands with Sasquatch, Lux, a 2.7L V6, and an automatic transmission. It’s fun.

This video should help you. They come off fairly easily with a plastic trim tool.
The long narrow trim comes off by prying it at the lower left corner and working across the bottom of the panel. Then raise the bottom edge slightly and slip the upper tabs out by pulling downwards.
The other panel to the right of the tailgate when open comes off by prying up the left edge, lifting it some and slipping the right tabs out by pulling to the left.

Be careful with the tabs or they can easily break, then you’ll be buying a new plastic thingy
