What is a good OBD reader tool? Maybe one for all vehicle brands so I can use if for my kids if they needed it?

The best one for sure is the Bosch MasterTech II... does everything including module programming. But it's also very pricey and really only intended for people who actually make money repairing vehicles. Well beyond most people's budgets... so... here are some more economical options:

  • Ford Specific
    • Ancel FD500
    • Ancel FD700
  • Universal
    • Bluedriver - Good for beginners, links codes with internet resources to help you troubleshoot
    • Ancel AD410 - Good given the price, but not a whole lot of features
    • Innova 5610 - Good for power users
    • Bosch OBD 1300 - Really good for older vehicles, but also works on newer vehicles.
    • Bosch OBD 1350 - Good for hobbyists, does most things most people would need.

Agree. What ever u choose, spend a few more pennies and get one that does ABS codes. Well worth it IMO. 🐎
2023 Wildtrak, sas, mid, soft top. Not crazy offroader…. Just a normal trail junkie
