Keyless Entry Code - How to find it through Sync

Weird one...

I have the Keyless pad on my Bronco. The code that is on the factory card works just fine, to open the doors. But, when I enter the same code into the Sync system to add a personal code or anything else, it tells me the code is incorrect.

So, I did the 'look on the Internet...the web knows all' thing and found these instructions, FROM FORD -->

https://www.ford.com/support/how-to...ess-entry-code-for-my-intelligent-access-key/
But...no code shows up in the dash display, or the center display, to tell me what Sync thinks my code is...

Anybody have any other ideas? Like I said, the door keypad works just fine, with the code from the factory plastic card. But, I can't use that code to make any changes as Sync doesn't recognize it.

Any help (Ford?) would be appreciated.

I would love to help but I have never been asked for a code on the SYNC touchscreen.

Are you trying to enable/disable valet mode?

Perhaps a pic will help.

The personalized codes are only available on vehicles with the Securicode keypads. Securicode keypads are available on the Bronco Sport, but judging by your signature you have the full-size Bronco—which does not have the Securicode keypads. On most modern Fords, the Securicode keypads are built into the pillar of the door and is "invisible" until you touch the keypad. Most look like this:

The full-sized Bronco keypads are basically wireless key fobs stuck to the door with double-sided tape. You can buy them separately (Part no. KB3Z14A626A or KB3Z14A626B, depending if you have remote start) and stick them wherever you want. Obviously from the factory they stick them on the door.

EDIT:

I got bored and did some reading... not so sure what I posted above is correct. Apparently Ford changed communication protocols in 2019MY, which I was unaware of... so what I posted above may not be correct. More reading to do. (y)

Okay so I was partially correct earlier. The wireless RF keypads DO support personalized codes, but you don't program them like you do with the Securicode keypads. Also... based on what I'm reading it seems like they only support one personalized code at a time.

Steps below:
1. Enter the factory code on the card
2. Within 5 seconds, press and hold the 1/2 button until the 9/0 button flashes twice. After it flashes twice, you have entered programming mode.
3. Enter your desired personalized 5-digit code. The vehicle will go through a unlock-lock-unlock cycle.
4. If programming is successful, the 9/0 button will flash twice to confirm.

Steps to remove the personalized code:
1. Enter the factory code on the card.
2. Within 5 seconds, press and hold the 1/2 button—continue holding the button. The vehicle will go through a lock/unlock cycle.
3. The 9/0 button will flash four times to confirm the code has been removed. After you receive the confirmation, you may release the 1/2 button.

THANKS!!

Makes sense that the 'dealer installed option' version of the keypad would work differently than the built-in version. The fact that the controls exist in the Sync system are confusing, as well as the Ford provided information. Will do it from the keypad and not worry about the Sync screens.

Your factory preset code, even if you do not have a keypad, is located behind the light switch panel.
