So I looked at the thread for using uplifter switch for twin arb and this set up is very similar , but I can just wire uplifter wire to purple wire…. The inline fuse provided with light bar is 40 amp, so I’ll get power from battery but don’t know where to wire the uplifter to. Here are pics of what I got. Thanks in advance .

So the up-fitter cable needs to be connected to a relay.

The relay will be the box that the toggle switch from the light bar kit connects to. I am guessing that the toggle switch has three cables connected to it: Ground, Power, and Switched Power (power that turns on and off as you flip the switch). Ground you will have to connect to a vehicle ground or the negative terminal on the battery, the Power you don't need, and the Switched Power becomes the output from the up-fitter switch cable.

Hopefully that makes sense? If not, definitely ask questions. Note that my diagram might not fully match up 100%, not sure exactly which lightbar/kit you are using so I made a few assumptions.

Yes this makes sense . To determine the power wire that I don’t need of the three wires I’m guessing it will be the one that is hot to the switch when switch is off ? Thank you and the diagram is spot on.

Yes. It’s often a red or white cable… but… can’t guarantee that’s the case in your kit. Multimeter/voltmeter should be able tell you easily.

I'm probably missing the point, but isn't the upfitter switch already connected to a relay? I thought everything was wired and powered and you just needed the positive/power from under the hood that is already connected to a relay?

You are 100% correct. All of the upfitter switches are controlling a series of relays sitting in the battery junction box (BJB).

BUT, @Sdge light bar is 40 amps, and there is no upfitter/aux circuit that can power a 40 amp light bar. Those largest aux circuit, Aux 1, supports 30 amps. But obviously if you are controlling something that pulls more than 30 amps, such as the larger refrigerators, a compressor, high-powered light bar, etc... you have to start stacking relays on top of each other.
