How to Get Detailed Tailgate Diagram and Measurements

Hello!

I am designing a Bronco tailgate accessory. My own model is a 2022 Black Diamond, so I've been able to take very detailed measurements of all the interior slots and recesses. But I'm wondering if those specs would be exactly the same for other trim packages. For instance, I've heard that the Raptor tailgate has different dimensions.

Is there a way for me to obtain measurements for each of the different trim levels? For instance, does Ford make blueprints, diagrams or other schematics available to the public? Relatedly, how will I know if tailgate designs are changing in an upcoming model year?

(I checked the official Ford Bronco Installation Guides, which have great information, but no tailgate interior mounting point information.)

Thanks in advance for any help!

Here's an idea for you: vendors have designed install kits for compressors and stuff in the tailgate cavity, which is neat. But I'd like to remove the plastic louvre plate, and use that for miscellaneous, maybe secure storage. I'll bet that if you developed a variety of plates to enclose that space (replacing the OEM plastic louvre plate) you'd have a market. First, a steel plate on a secure hinge setup (maybe a piano-style hinge), no exposed slotted bolts, with a good keyed or combination lock. This would be handy for firearms, backup credit cards, faraday box and spare fobs and things. Strictly round topped bolts. Then maybe a variety of less secure plates and closures for people who just want to stow tools, first-aid kits, emergency gear, etc. You might think of a way to hinge the OEM louvre plate for people doing their own ARB install.

One outfit has a box setup with individual shelves and compartments, but it goes for a few hundred. I'm thinking something much simpler, but sturdy and lockable. And cheaper!

The OEM louvred plate might serve as a template.

Hmmmm I wonder if I can get my son to do a 3D scan of my tailgate. Won’t help for future updates.

What accessories are you considering or envisioning?
For the exterior, there's a lot out there. Maybe Bronco vendors are getting caught up with the huge amount of Jeep accessories, options, and upgrades out there.
