Hard Top Storage - not from the ceiling

I just finished adding insulation and OSB in my shop, and really dont want to hand the top from the ceiling again. I am tired of ducking/walking around it. Was thinking about a platform (wide pallet as example), with some framing vertical at about a 75 degree angle, and bolting the top to the vertical struts to store it upright, and the ability to keep at the wall, and move as I wanted to clean.

Does anyone have other storage options, other than from the ceiling and on a toplift?

Thoughts?

It's a pretty awkward thing to wield around. Could you just do a ceiling hoist then drop it down to the floor on some little dolly's then roll it into a corner?

I have this write up/video i did a while back would only cost you about $70 for hoist then about $6 per dolly.

I have had it hanging on the ceiling for 2 years...just tired of it hanging and having to work around it. Also had my 77 hardtop hanging for years too in the past.

Nice write up on the trolley. I literally just used unistrut/trolley to build my attic elevator. It partially why I am looking for alternatives for the top. I have moved all my surplus tools and supplies to the decked attic to open up the shop.

Something tells me you have a clamshell elevator coming soon :)
