I have posted several post on my MY2022 BASE BRONCO.
Here attached is one on the Ford Pass "Deep sleep" messages while they get battery status of 12.4v transmitted by telematrics or your on board modem. It is a AT&T proprietary chipset in what appears to be a Ranger module called TCU. More about that in attached case .
If you remove the 5 amp fuse #20 it will disconnect the current from the AT&T TCU and your Bronco cannot transmit to Ford Pass any data. It will prevent any on board cellular calls through to radio modular ( see that control module in attached ).
I dont believe it is linked to your GPS, since that seems to have a separate antenna , but your on board nav may or may not still work. My base uses external Garmin.
Some used Ranger owners tried to get say Verizon networks, but the TCU was engineered for AT&T exclusive. Some say their is no SIM card slots in TCU.
Bottom line: IF YOU DONT WANT BIG BROTHER, YOUR WIFE'S PI, THE FEDS AND YOUR AUTOMOBILE INSURANCE CARRIER getting your data, PULL fuse #20 in fuse box under your steering wheel and all 5Amps (12v= 60 watts) power will not power the TCU or on board modem.
Your cell can be put on ROAM and most likely will go in and out as you travel but that bread- crumbs trail will be limited to say police , under legal channels, and maybe no your insurance company. Traffic sign recognition software is also in Bronco Navigation software download as well as uploads.
AIN'T AMERICAN GREAT! Big Brother and maybe your wife is watching.
