Bronco Owners –

We’ve rolled out the newly designed FordPass® app to help you better manage your vehicle remotely, and we are continuing to deliver new enhancements! We wanted to let you know about the most recent updates available for you:

Turn ON Vehicle Software Updates: Now, if your vehicle is eligible to receive software updates, you can turn vehicle software updates ON and set-up or change your Automatic Update Schedule right from the FordPass and Lincoln Way app, in addition to the center screen. To be sure you’re getting the latest and greatest new features and improvements available for your vehicle, make sure you:
  1. Open the FordPass app and select Settings on the Home Screen
  1. Select Software Updates
  1. Select Tap to set schedule
  1. Set or choose a schedule that works best for you – schedule for a time when you won’t be driving, like overnight.

‘Dark Mode’: Ford customers with iOS devices will enjoy a sleek, new visual experience in the FordPass app called ‘Dark Mode’. The app’s interface can switch to a dark color scheme, using dark grays, blacks and muted colors for the background and text.

New Authorization: Ford customers using FordPass can now invite additional drivers such as friends and family to access their vehicle straight from the app for a more seamless experience. Previously, friends and family had to request access. Once new users are authorized, they can lock/unlock the vehicle, start the vehicle and view fuel/battery levels. Here is what you need to know:

To invite a new user to access your vehicle:
  1. Open the FordPass app and tap Settings on the home screen
  1. Tap Vehicle Access
  1. Tap Invite at the top of the Vehicle Access page
  1. Enter the new user’s email address and send the invite

For the friend/family receiving the invite, they just have to:
  1. Download FordPass mobile app
  1. Create an account with the same email that the invitation was sent to
  1. Tap “Accept Invitation” in the invitation email

Let us know what you think and if you have any questions about FordPass!

I would like the ability to turn off or block new authorizations..... I see this as a quick and easy (everything is relative) method to hack my account and steal my Bronco.... At a bare minimum it should be a 2 method verification process....

And no, what you have described is NOT two method verification. If someone has hacked into my ford pass account, they can drive away with my vehicle..... That simple.

My Iphone 7 plus OS does not support the new version, or vice versa. 😒

Maybe I don't know how the remote start/lock-unlock works then.... I have never used it. Just assumed you could do all that remotely without the key.

In my experience, u can start/unlock with app but when enter vehicle, the “no key detected “ msg appears and it won’t allow u to do anything involving driving the vehicle. I am a fan of gone in 60 seconds but never did it so possibly i am missing something as well.

For anyone with a Bronco Sport 23 or older, the software update portion of the update does not seem to be available. 😥

I LOVE the FordPass app. My only complaints are I cannot remotely activate my mirror-mounted ground lighting anymore. I used to be able to do that with the app.

A pet peeve (read: first world problem) is that the app displays a pickup truck rather than a Bronco when you view the tire pressures under the Service tab. Silly, but I found it quirky. LOL 😜
Chris here. I drive a 2-door Velocity Blue 2023 Ford Bronco Badlands with Sasquatch, Lux, a 2.7L V6, and an automatic transmission. It’s fun.

I'm with ya. This is news to me that Fordpass lets you drive away with your Bronco lol. This would save me so many trips into the house with me forgetting my keys on the counter 😂

Thank you for this heads-up! I appreciate the FP's current app version allowing maintenance updates for Bronco's self service. Before we had to use Ford's website, now it's easily added on our phone app.

Cheers

Wish you would bring back the security feature that was available years ago, wish you would add window control and an alarm button to turn on/off when you don’t have your keys handy. Also wish dark mode feature was in settings of the app so it can be controlled there and I love the vehicle screen, but HATE the bottom part where the location, connected services, etc are. Would be nice if it could be minimized or move it to services or make certain ones a button like location and trailer light check and move the rest to account. I do use the app a lot and enjoy it
