Bilstein Shock Issue

I am in the same pickle as you are. Mine were leaking and I was leaving on a trip. There was no repair/replacement yet so I purchase a full set of upgraded replacements. Prior to that I called the help line and obtained a case number from Ford. And I just got the notification of the recall fix/replacement. I will be heading to the dealership again to have them submit the claim with Ford. Fingers crossed. I did have the dealership do the installation so hopefully I get a good result. All I am looking for is a little reimbursement for the installation cost.

Has anyone had any experience with getting some kind of compensation from Ford on replacement shocks before the recall? Came out one morning to find my right rear shock reservoir was sitting in my driveway. Out of warranty. Replaced with Bilstein 6100’s. Then get recall notice and am wondering what to do?
