Bestop Bimini Hard Top Question

I installed the Bestop bimini mesh shade last week and personally I'm a fan. A little loud at high speeds but it handles it and I like that you still get open air and some sun but keeps the seats much cooler (especially helpful with my kids in the back and my wife in the front). Finally getting rain here today so putting hard top back on and it seems easy enough. Rolling the front back was very easy but the the middle section for a four door tripped me up a bit. The clamps on the side seem to only fit with actually kind of shimmying it in between the bimini shade and the car itself. The zipper doesn't go far enough to put it through the zipper to clamp it down and when it's inserted in between it's kind of folding up the bimini which I can imagine long term might not be good for it? I can post pics if helpful as well but welcome any insight here if anyone else has experience!

Also, I just really need to get some rollbar protection for the back part of the hard top or get a system installed in my garage b/c right now my wife helps me put on the top and take it off and I love her so much for helping me out but she just isn't strong enough and we keep scratching them... Any tips there are secondary but also welcome!

Hi there!
I am doing the same as you.

I loosen up the straps and it gives enough slack to do that. However, it is not ideal as the material may stretch and sag with time.

I've been in communication with Bestop for 2 weeks now.
They have been helpful, but there is too man issues with their communication system.

First they reminded me that this product was not designed for hardtops, but said they had found a way to make it work, and that they would send me instructions.

They were supposed to attach a picture (or instructions) to their last email, but the picture never came. I called again and they sent me this via text message to my cell.
Does this make any sense to you? It doesn't look like the brackets I have. Maybe the sent me the wrong instructions?

And this is what my bracket (and probably yours) looks like:

I will let you know as soon as I hear from them again. I the interim, please let me know if you found a better way.
Thanks much and warm regards,
Rico

I finally spoke to Bestop Friday and they just told me its normal and fine and wouldn't hurt it. I'm not sure they are right b/c it appears to be damaging it. There is wear already where I left the hard top on for some time on the edges. They advertise it as working with hard and soft top but they said I could leave on with hard top so I guess that's what I'll do and see what happens in the long run

Hi there, I'd be happy to look into your Bronco concerns on my end. Will you send us a message with your VIN and dealership info? I can look into things on my end.
