There is a good video out there that helped me, so I’m mostly just adding stuff that I learned during the installation process. Thanks Pickens crew!

Here’s the kit, with the instructions. Everything is well made and the instructions are clear.

Fit the bracket to the upper shock mount. I found it easiest to insert in this direction, essentially from fender side towards the motor.

I have the upfitter, so don’t need the ARB switch, but the compressor mounting hardware is packaged with the switch – so don’t toss it!

I put a couple drops of locktite, just because of the vibrations that will be encountered.

I decided to mount the compressor with the wiring towards the fender (cleaner wiring and the air outlet more oriented towards the rear of the vehicle). I do plan to run a line to the rear hitch when it warms up a bit.

The ARB air fitting’s rubber cover will slide off so you can get a wrench and tighten it up with 19mm…

Now the electrical connections. I picked up some yellow (#10-12) ring terminals with ¼” hole for mounting to battery terminals. Also, a couple flange nuts to use the spare terminal points on the battery. Note there are two different sizes (M5x0.8 and M6x1.0). You could use the existing locations, but I figured I’d use the free ones. I soldered the terminals and put heat shrink on.

I used AUX 6 (far right) upfitter and splice/heat shrink to the purple wire from the ARB harness (only need this one wire as the ground is run separately to the battery. No significant current draw, this is just a control circuit and all the current comes directly from battery via the two #10 red wires. Secure wire harness with zip ties.

Testing.

I using the 4-tire Morrflate, I dropped all tires from 40 to 15psi in about 5 minutes. It seems like there is a ~2psi difference between the vehicle TPMS and the digital Morrflate. Thinking this is just the pressure drop in the lines, but could just be inaccuracies between the two measurements.

Airing back up was awesome. All four tires (285/70/r17) from 15 to 40 psi in 8 mins. Since all four tires are connected together, allowing it to sit for a few mins after airing up equalizes the pressure in the four tires.

No issues with the bracket install! Working great.

I haven’t run line to rear, but getting closer. I put Corsa cat back which eliminates the humongous stock muffler. Frees up a ton of space for air tank. So I’m thinking I will do the 4L ARB tank and then mount the fitting on the receiver.

What are your plans!?
