The B&O has a passenger cargo sub woofer with 600w amp. Base 2021-2022 onky 6 speakers. Has anyone used Ford's seventh speaker ( sub woofer) for upgrade. Issues are cargo panel different no storage pocket: Forran upgrade by dealers? Can we used without amp just 6 speakers and T connect from Front dash speaker, since 61/2 may have bass filters?

Only thing I found was the below sound box say $289 from Ford, but no wiring harness available yet!

You are asking the same question I have since I got the damn truck, what to do with the sound system?

I don’t think many are considering what you are asking because while the B&O system is better than the base system, it is not wonderland and the basic idea I got from many is that the factory B&O sub and speaker set up is very expensive (if you can even get it in a year’s time).

You can do the Forscan equalization on your own with the Forscan tool and a laptop computer but, I will say, after doing it, it makes very little difference.

The best I have heard is folks using the Kicker Key setup under the dash (plug and play) and that releases the full potential of the factory stereo. From there, I would go with a sub and 12 inch kick speaker in a back tailgate box nbolt on.

In the end, yes I am sure you can order the factory kicker and sub setup, but you also have to order the back passenger side trunk panel, unless you fab something with what is there by removing the cubby cut out and placing in screen for protection.

I really don't know why they didn’t put a better sound system in the truck. What 6 speaker system sucks this bad?

And these to replace the crappy 4 inch excuses for teh rear speakers once they get full power after forscan or Kicker Key plug and play

The base system is not getting a sub. The 7th speaker is a center channel in the dash.

That's clever, keep it all up front where is counts. I never thought of that. Smart. At min, you could tie in with a plug and play harness and run whatever speaker you want up in the center. But the Op was asking about the rear set up, as quoted "Has anyone used Ford's seventh speaker (sub woofer) for upgrade. Issues are cargo panel different no storage pocket: sic (Think he menat Forscan here)Forran upgrade by dealers?" But I belive you are correct in that there may be a middle dash speaker with the B&O system. I can't verify as I have a base 6 speaker. Camn someone chime in with the B&O system regarding is there a sep box and grate in the dash center? Here I was trying to get more to the rear, when teh answer may be to stuff another thumper up front? Thoughts?

From the title of the thread it seemed he was under the assumption that the 2023 base audio system was getting a sub. It was already announced that the base audio would be a 7 speaker system. I was just stating while it is, the 7th speaker is a center channel. Not a sub.

Interesting. When they first announced the 7 speaker base stereo it was said the 7th was a center channel in the dash. Guess they changed their mind.

Is there room under one of the front seats for a Sub? I had one of these in my old 2dr "J-word" and it punches pretty hard. The factory "J-word" systems are pretty lame as built.

Stinger makes a swing gate sub for the bronco, all configurations and years. $499 or so without the amp. I hear good things about it. Easiest way to keep factory head unit, keep factory SYNC and chimes, etc.. and add aftermarket amps for speakers and a sub, plus add DSP to configure each speaker individually and EQ curve (up to 31 EQ settings) is to buy the Access (Metra) AXDSPX - FD3 (10 speaker rca outs) or AXDSPL-FD3 (base 6 speakers) factory wiring kit. Super easy to DIY without having any car installer knowledge. Awesome technical support team at Metra to answer any install questions.

The 7th speaker is a Subwoofer on the Passengers side rear of the Bronco, I know this because I have the MY2023 early Bronco and it came with it, however shortly after they came out with the Subwoofer as a 7th speaker they soon Deleted the option very early after production of the MY2023 Bronco.
I can tell you it does sound pretty good, can’t compare it to the B&O system because I have never heard that system, but I am pretty happy with the way it sounds.

I've been doing a lot of research on ways to improve the stock system in my Badlands with Mid package. My previous vehicle had a Harman-Kardon sound system and it was actually really nice. Right now, I'm considering replacing the 4" speakers front and back with Infinity (by Harmon) Reference series speakers with bass blockers, and then see if I can find someone with Forscan to make the change supposedly makes their output louder. Then I'm planning on adding an Infinity Basslink SM2 under one of the seats. After doing that, I will assess whether the 6" kick panel speakers need replacement as well. I don't need bass that people can hear several blocks away. But I do need something that has a richer, fuller sound than what it came with. It's just really, really pathetic to me that the stock system in our Ford fleet vans at work have a more impressive sound system than my $60K Bronco.
