One that is easy to overlook is inside the center console: have you seen this one?

There is a timeout value on the Body Control Module that you can change to have it stay active 24/7. You can change it with FDRS/Forscan.

I don't think the Bronco lets you change it on a per-port basis... but I'll double check once it stops raining.

Thanks, I put in a console safe when I first got Bronco and I didn't notice it. I will go back and check.

Thanks

I got a laptop and forscan module and will look at that this week. Lots of post say it stays powered up for 30 min after turn off vehicle. Tested mine and it turns off immediately.

I actually don't know what the Bronco's default behavior is, but on several of Ford vehicles it is dynamic. For example, the battery on my wife's Escape has now aged to the point where Auto Start/Stop no longer functions, and now the 12V ports will shut off immediately after the vehicle powers off. Previously it would stay powered for a few minutes after shutting off the Escape.

For me, the rear cargo area stays on for about a minute (haven't actually timed it) after I shut off the Bronco... so I assume the default timeout is 60-90 seconds or so.

You can simply run a wire directly from the battery to the area and swap out the wiring. Or, land the constant power anywhere in the vehicle via this method too! If you do this, please be sure to include an in-line fuse right before the battery connection.

I found this for you
- 2023 Raptor / Shadow Black / MGV (DOB 8/30/23)
- 2023 Heritage Limited Edition / Robin’s Egg Blue / 4dr / (stolen from my dealer 11/15/23)
