Hood Handles

What are the handles on the hood for? Are they an anchor point for tying something down, like a kayak or something on the roof?

Will there be a roof rack option?

The question is what will the static and dynamic load capacity be on the roof rack options?

I love the way these look. The first thing that pops into my mind is having a cable from them to the roof rack to act as a limb riser. I often find myself going down very tight woods trails and if these are strong enough they would make great limb risers.

My lovely Wife and are looking forward to owning a brand spankin new Badlands in the 4door Model- yessiree....we Love this handle feature- plenty of uses.

For example and besides the important stuff -like hunting and fishing, we can take our son, JR junior to the park and never have to get out of Betsy....
simply harness JR junior up and attach the leash to one of the handles and let him go.... those fancy pants engineers In the styling dept. did one right if you ask me!

My wife affectionately calls em the “love handles” .

All kidding aside, Ford calls these "Trail Sights" and they are rated at 150 pounds of pull force. Ford intends them to be used to help you maneuver the Bronco in tight spaces and use them to put on limb risers, tie-down a kayak, etc.

Also, if someone tries to steal your Bronco and you throw yourself on the hood, you have something to hang on to.

There are a lot of people who don’t like matching fender flares. :cool: There are lots of people who like matching fender flares.(y)

I’m hoping they can be removed for a clean look.
