Getting Wildtrak.. Should I upgrade bumper or wait for after market?

I think the metal bumper looks much better, however, I do plan to add after market stuff on bumper later. Does it matter or make a difference which bumper I have?
Meaning, is it easier to add aftermarket stuff on the metal bumper or does not matter.

Thanks!

The cool thing about the modular bumper is its already set up for accessories in mind. Yeah aftermarket might duplicate that. But how accurately?? This is one of those situations that you should probably wait and see what accessories Ford will be offering thst will be compatible with the modular bumper before making a final decision.

One issue to determine is whether the upgrade to a modular front bumper includes the steel rear bumper. I bet it does not. Would that be an issue for you?
Have you priced the aftermarket just to get a ballpark figure? Would you install it yourself?
We also do not know if the Ford rear steel bumper includes "Bronco Bolts" to facilitate after market attachments. Think Rigid light to help with trailer hitch/unhitch after dark. Lot of unknowns at this point.

I'd be really surprised if the rear steel bumper didn't have bronco bolts for upgrades. Reverse light, jerry can mount hi lift jack mount, etc.

I think the price is pretty comparable to the aftermarket. To what level it is will it accept aftermarket accessories? How flimsy is it? Is the rear included? I would like to know that too before purchasing.
Build week of 7/26....still....no its 8/16 now

Personally, I'd wait. There will be a million aftermarket bumpers and winch setups. Wait and see.

The modular bumper doesn't seem to stick out as much as Jeep bumpers i've had in past. That will help approach angle.

You can't trust all of the images you see because they are all preproduction units at various stages of preproduction. You need to go by the specs on the Ford.com page and just use images for reference to confirm those facts. The two most popular images we've been seeing on are labeled as extensive after market support rigs so alot of what you see on those two you need to take with a grain of salt.

Aftermarket bumpers should be in abundance. You would be able to fins less expensive options or more expensive options with more features. The one thing to worry about for both front and rear replacement is do the aftermarket bumpers support the parking sensors front and back (If your model has them).
