Any info on the towing capacity. I'd think 6000 lbs would be reasonable for starterd

No real info but over on 6g, 5500 was the common guess.

Towing capacity would be an area where the Bronco could separate itself from the Wrangler and drive sales. 5500 would probably be enough to do that.

I have been hoping for 5500-6000. It would be nice to be able to pull a 27' travel trailer with it.

jr87mustang, you would be a good example of why the Bronco would be the obvious choice over a Wrangler.

Totally agree. I won't even look at a Jeep because it can't tow. I mean just a quad and some hunting supplies and you are at a Jeep's limit. I wouldn't mind a Gladiator but I usually sleep in my vehicle while hunting and that isn't happening in a Gladiator. My wife had a 2008 Pathfinder that was about the same size category and that thing could tow 7,000 and I could sleep in it. Now she has a 2019 Expedition and I am not aloud to take it hunting : (.

The new expeditions are amazing, the 3.5l is perfect for towing.

So max towing on the current Ranger is rated at 3500 max and 7500 max with the trailer tow package. They should be able to get similar numbers with the Bronco. Maybe even higher with the 2.7 and upgraded necessary components and gearing. Hell my 2017 F150 Scab with 2.7 and 3:55 gearing was only rated for 7500 max.

Yeah but ranger has big fat leaf springs. More solid than towing with link suspension so knock a lil off for that.

Google the Ranger, and should be about that.

With the 2.3 motor I expect 3000lb range for off-road package. And 5500 with the towing street package.

2.7 slightly more but not much due to the suspension. (3500 and 6000 TOPS)

I’d be down with 3500 lbs. As long as I can pull this I’m good!! E2BAA2E9-CDE7-4979-BA56-19EE437873AB.jpeg

The Jeep JL has a 3500lb capacity.... limits a lot of camp trailer options. I'm hopeful that the new 4-door bronco has a 5-7k ability. Shopping for trailers now, and would make a huge difference

Absolutely!
However 2000lbs on my Panther body is more than enough for my Popup camper.

I need at least 7500 lbs, need to tow my 69! Would like to see it in the 2 door, but my guess the 4 door will be the only tow vehicle with any capability.
I thought I retired, then I started restoring my Bronco!

You think? Or by capability do you mean meaningful, high weight capability? Even the V6 Ford Escapes come with tow packages and that's a unibody. I would hope the new Bronco (in all sizes) could tow its own weight.

A little over 5,000lbs would be great but eh I not expecting too much from towing, I have my truck but would be nice to have a true Swiss army knife of vehicles
