I don't know about you guys but I've been on a Bronco kick last few months. But that's kind of changing after seeing the cyber truck and the price comparison to the bronco. I'm starting to lean more towards Tesla, I just think it looks way cooler. What do you guys think, which one do you like better? I went ahead and put in a reserve for one.

Thanks, Electric’s actually ARE the future.

The Osborne Effect will kick in once Cyber Truck production timeline is announced. It will be hard to sell all-gas vehicles, then.

A Bronco PHEV would be pretty much resistant to the drop in sales phenomenon

The Off-road category should always prefer PHEV because of Torque from dual engines and better cold weather performance. Remote operations also favor dual Fuels.

A PHEV Bronco would best a Cybertruck ...in my opinion.

I’ll pass on EV until it’s forced on us. To many of us old blood around that LOVE the sound of a V8!

I had to goole what the Osborne Effect is, basically I think thats true. People are typically "scared" of change (especially changes in tech)

IMO I think the cyber truck is ugly.

Let me elaborate. I its think the angular-ness and lack of curves.

Asking this question is akin to asking: "Should I ride the bus to work, or pack a bag lunch".
The two options are not related, and other than four wheels and tires, neither are the vehicles.
If the cybertruck is making you tingly in the appropriate places then there you go, decision made! (y)

The Tesla has 35's so the scale is wrong. But the Cybertruck is seriously huge. It is not a small/midsize SUV like a Bronco. That is a solidly huge truck. I really like it. But the $40k one wont be in people hands until 2023 and the $50k version (The one I would get) is going to be late 2021. It's also not going to be $50k. Anyone who has priced out a Tesla know the options and packages crank up really quickly and are not cheap. My guess is most Mid range Cybertrucks will go between $60-$70k. I'm getting my Bronco and gonna get my wife to love driving it so I can buy a Cybertruck in 2024 when her Pilot is paid off.

I really like the Teslas, but the Truck looks like a chancla to me.
My favorite Electric/Hybrid was the Fisker Karma not really a back seat in the thing but was good looking.
As far as trucks I want to see an Atlis or the Hummer and where they are priced.

Fisker WAS selling the future.
This strategy has its limitations.

Ford is selling retro and bringing back memories. This will sell cars.

Tesla IS the future....

To be competitive, Ford needs a big electric truck.

BRONCO buyers accepted F-150 based Broncos before. How hard would it be to build a line extension? I Just can’t see myself driving a Ranger. I’m swallowing hard to order a Ranger based vehicle.

I Currently am driving a loaded GMC Sierra. I don’t need a new vehicle ...and was watching out for a full size electric before choosing Bronco. Tesla styling may be a turnoff to some ...but I would definitely go for a full size PHEV.

The Cybertruck will be larger and heavier so if you plan on offroad and overlanding it I think some of the trails will be limited due to its full size truck shape. I'm sure it will be capable to get you many places but not like a Bronco or a Jeep would.

good point!
Most of us want a 4 wheel drive vehicle for when SHTF. I don’t wish to be getting stuck when that happens.

If I was in the market for an electric truck it wouldn't be that monstrosity. I'd probably go for the Nikola Badger.
