Noticed on the Ford Build site that the First Edition does not include Active Grille Shutters as on all the other models? Typo? Unique grille? Interesting......maybe it's a Feng Shei thing with blue leather.

What do all'yall think?

Edit - just noted the Badlands does not either - must be a suspension or Front Stabilizer Bar Disconnect thing

I'm sure the FE has it. They just forgot to list it.

So.....i am surprised this hasn't been asked yet but what do these active grille shutters do and why do they do it?

They are normally for aerodynamics at speed.

Yeah. Basically they close to help warmup and reduce drag and open as needed for thermal management. My 2012 Focus had them.

They have had these on heavy trucks since the 60s.
Wonder if the fan can be reversed to blow debris out of radiator?

I bet you're right- actuators and sway bar disconnect would be in the same territory possibly.
