4x4 service warning

Hello bronco brainiacs,
Today I got a warning message on my dash screen that says, "check 4x4 system" or something close to that. I can't change goat mode (i'm in normal) nor can I change to 2H (I'm in 4A). Additionally, steering feels a bit heavy and the power seems to drop occasionally.
Anyone else experience this?

Go directly to the dealership, do not pass go. Pretty sure from prior posts, that you possibly have a bad module. Not sure which one. Try disconnecting and reconnecting the battery. But still take it in.

Thanks. I'll try the battery idea.
Closest dealer is 90 miles away so not looking forward to that drive in a sick bronco.
