I traded in my jeep last weekend to find out I could not drive my new bronco home, which was very disappointing. Why would a back up camera stop someone from driving home there new bronco when the fix is a software patch?

Under the National Traffic and Motor Vehicle Safety Act, dealers are prohibited from selling new vehicles that are subject to an open safety recall — including those involving backup cameras — until the defect has been remedied. Selling such a vehicle knowingly can expose the dealer to significant federal penalties.

I’m waiting for mine too…

So is this a 2nd recall for the camera? I had my camera replaced last month. They had to install a new camera for that one.
