Does anyone have any advice regarding what soft top to put on...meaning...Which one is better, the Bestop Trektop or the factory OEM top...looking for some feedback

I don't know which is better, each have advantages over the other. Do some YouTube searches and compare what people say and show of theirs.

If you like the "slant" back, then Bestop is the one you want.

Ok so I'm updating my review. Best Top Skyryder had a broken cable after less than two months I was told 90 day minimum wait (so into the Fall of the Northeast). I complained and the head of customer service arranged to have the cord sent to me directly from the plant in Mexico. I had to install it but not to difficult, just a waste of time. The new cord is not as tight as the original nor the one that hasn't broke yet on the other side but it should work fine.

We have the hard top and love it for sound deadening and it's easy to pop out the tops. Tried to find an OEM soft top for summer but without success. Chose the Bestop double Skyrider. We REALLY LIKE IT. One person can easily open and close it but need to stand on side rails depending upon height. Takes seconds to open and close (under a minute).

We like that we have the rear wiper still plus the noise is much lower then the OEM soft top. I recommend it highly but the directions to install aren't great (2D and not clear enough). The video really doesn't cut it. Had to refer back and forth to the paper instructions and video but done with a friend in 3.5 hours.

Overall we really enjoy it and both my wife or I can handle the opening or closing...even if it starts to rain one of you can climb into the back and pull it forward...which happened!

Our first BL had the factory soft top. Our second BL has the hard top and the Bestop Trektop.

Here’s my take:

Oem soft top is sturdier than Trektop and has more adaptability. I especially like the fact that the oem will fold up into the back.

Smooth windows on the TT and wavy ones on the oem. I prefer the boxy shape of the oem but the TT looks very good. TT has convenient zippered pockets.

Removal of the oem is easier but probably heavier than the TT. Oem would be easier to store bc all the mechs are connected.

From my understanding, the oem is made by TT. The twill fabric is really nice on both.

Hope that helps

Still looking? I don't know anything about this member, but they just posted this. In Texas though if the soft top can store inside the Bronco to get home it could be a fun roadtrip. Image Caption
