Bronco on "hold" after given delivery

My 2024 HE had a blend date of 2/2, and has been frozen at "in production" since 2/5. I got an email on 2/8 saying that there is a delay. If you search the forum, you will find that there is a hold for the hard tops. It turns out that the rear window can fall out.

Dealer stopped talking to me. Ford was little help except to tell me it is "in production " and at the same time "produced". Finally today, went to Dealer for some update! They told me it's on hold. Was told by Ford there were no holds. Called Ford back and was told it is #1 in production aand #2 it is built....with a hold. Anyone been here???

Yeah, almost all of us have stories. We bought our WildTrak off the lot after waiting several months on a Badlands that was scheduled to ship .. but never did..

Mine was built and then in post production there was a two week hold for an interior trim piece. Then it took another month to ship and make it to the dealership. it is not uncommon for holds for various reasons.

Mine was on hold for the same interior piece as @TK1215 in the same time frame. See my signature it took a month to get my Everglades, but it is soooo worth it this thing is awesome.

I was fortunate to actually get through to a person on the Bronco hotline who actually dug into it a little bit. Unfortunately there are very few who know or are inclined to actually look into it. It could be anything. I would try calling the hotline and see if they are able to dig into it. Quite often they can check to see if there are any red flags that are holding up the release of a group of vehicles. Make sure to have as much information regarding your build. The vin, window sticker information, build date, etc.

I'm sorry you're stressed out. Most of us have been where you are, in one form or another. My only fear was not getting confirmation of my dealer offer (which honored my original price quote) until the last minute. In the end, everything came through for me. I took delivery of my Bronco at the agreed-upon price.

I wish you the best. I know it's a challenging time for you, but I trust you will take delivery soon and that all of this unpleasantness will be behind you.

Oh great, one more thing we have to lose sleep over.

I seem to recall some 50 years ago when the 6G Bronco hype started that there were crash test videos showing the Bronco faring well and no windshields nor windows flying out.

Unless something has changed on the rear glass recall, I don’t believe this applies in this case. But there are plenty of parts that can cause a hold. As in anything.

Since 2021, the only update Ford has made to the order tracker was to shut down a 3rd party API that provided better status updates than Ford’s own front end.

It’s about as reliable as a weather prediction.

Also I think the Everglades is a little different than most trim levels. As I understand it they build the Bronco then they move it over to a separate line to add the snorkel, roof rack, winch, slide out tailgate, graphics, and any options you may have added, so that could be part of the hold up. I hope you get some good news soon. If not there is a EG 2024 Everglades on the lot near me. And looking at their website they have another one in transit.

If it makes anyone feel any better... Mine was built, shipped, and delivered about a week before they said it would arrive. That's about the only part that went according to plan. 😁

Mine sat like that, in production on 2/2, the finally built on 2/23, then shipped on 2/25.

I remember when trucks went on hold, then come to find out that's when a number of trucks were stolen from the factory lot. But I'm sure that didn't happen to yours?? Have a good weekend!! :0)

Yikes!!!

Dealer called Ford HQ. Was told my bronco might ship this week! ....or in 5 min....or an hour....or tomorrow....
But no worries....if not by Friday. I'll finally get an update.
Starting to think this is a figment of my imagination and just pictures!!!
