$400 SOLD

For sale is a Bronco 2DR Power Tank complete setup kit. ***

***
If you have a 4DR and are interested in the Power Tank system then let me know and I'll knock a little extra off since you won't need the 2DR bracket and would need to purchase a 4dr bracket. You can see the 4dr bracket here: https://powertank.com/collections/brackets/products/bkt-2210 This would still be MUCH cheaper than buying the setup direct from Power Tank

Here is what is included.

  • Tank: Power Tank 10 LBS
  • Color: Matte Black
  • Regulator: HP250i - 250 psi
  • Hose Option: 30 ft Coiled Hose
  • Tire Inflator: Trooper - 0-60 psi Analog
  • Fire Extinguisher Bracket: Black
  • Six Shooter Tank Knob: Stealth Black
  • Mounting Bracket for Bronco 2DR

The kit, as I have mine configured, retails for about $1,100. By the time you'd pay them sales tax, mine is about 1/3 the price. 😃

I prefer local sale as I assume shipping would be a bit on the high end. I guess for a cheaply as I am selling this, you could pay for shipping and still come out way ahead. I am in the Portland, OR / Vancouver, WA area.

Reason for selling: I roll topless in my 2dr 24/7 from spring to winter. I carry a lot of gear for my camping and off-road trips which means I can not stack gear upwards since the hardtop is not on.

I purchased an ARB dual for under the hood to free up some rear cargo space the Power Tank setup was occupying. If you don't roll topless 24/7 or if you don't pack a ton of gear into that topless 2dr then this would be a great set up.

I inflate tires from 20psi to 38psi in about 30 seconds per tire with this setup. On a full tank, I can inflate about 24 total tires with the 10 pounder before it needed to be refilled. Most cities will have Co2 refill options. I use a beer and wine supply store near my house. Refill prices will vary depending but I pay about $25 to refill it.

See the 2DR kit here: https://powertank.com/collections/bronco/products/10-lb-2-door-bronco-edition-power-tank

It's a sweet setup and it blows air compressors away as far as air up times go and if a reset of a broken tire bead is needed. I am selling it dirt cheap here so that another Bronco Nation member can get use out of it.

If it does not sell here in a few weeks then I'll toss it on fleabay.

That's fast, all right. People talk about airing-up times the way we used to talk about acceleration when we were kids. But $1/tire? You'll amortize that ARB in what, 900-1000 tires, counting installation and mounting bracket?

So you fill with CO2. My Costco airs up with nitrogen. The guy at the desk couldn't explain why. Since air is about 80% nitrogen, can anybody tell me what the advantage is? The only thing I can think of is, less oxygen = less oxidizing of the tire's interior surfaces. Would that make a difference on tire life?

Good luck with your sale!

The same can be said for any purchase. I've personally never thought about any of my purchases like that. I buy things for enjoyment and to assist me in doing various things and activities.

The ARB purchase, and this Power Tank sale, is mainly to free up space in my 2DR. Like I said, I roll topless 24/7 and carry a lot of camping and off-road gear. I am not worried if I ever reach 'amortization' on it, or on any of my other Bronco related purchases.

The ARB I purchased to replace the Power Tank is a complete kit with bracket and all. I'll install it myself as it is a fairly easy and straightforward install and wiring.

24 tires would basically be 6 off-road trips. I go out every few weeks so for me, I am filling the Power Tank up every few months. For most people, 6 off-road trips might be a year. So $25 a year to fill it, is pretty insignificant IMO.

Point well taken (and taken well). You were clear that creating storage room was the main point.
My post was an off-kilter thought by a guy who computes the cost-per-serving of Cheerios vs. generic "oatios" in a supermarket aisle. We're Bronco owners--My guess is that us owners with a genuine need for its engineering are <20%.
Good luck with your sale! Have you considered Facebook Marketplace?

I have FB but rarely ever use it. I'll leave it here, at the killer $400 price, for a few weeks and if there are no takers then fleabay, FB marketplace and Craigslist it'll be but at a higher price. I am selling this here for 1/3 of the retail price but that won't carry over to others places.

Not a big deal to me either way, I am sure it'll eventually sell.

Thanks I have had it since 1985, with many mods all done by me. More to come in the next few months. King coil overs, Tremec 4050 5 speed etc. It has a fresh 351W roller I built and I am going to go with a different FI.

I was told that nitrogen is more stable than air/CO2 (Bigger molecules so stable levels/ less leaks.
When I did and soon will try again, will have all my tires with nitrogen. There are more pros vs cons for it, but as always, each there own.

If you off-road and want to fill tires on the trail then Nitrogen will give you far less tire fills per bottle than a Co2 tank of the same size will. You'd need about 30 pounds of Nitrogen to equal what a 10 pound Co2 tank can provide..

On top of that, a Power Tank cannot be filled with Nitrogen as it's stamped and certified for Co2 only.
